Your right, tony sucked and so did Murray. The line played so well the leading rusher in the NFL this season averaged 3.6 yards a carry today. He should buy the O line new luggage........... oh wait.

Dez did not get mugged all game one play I can think of. Excuses.

Look at their defensive front and how easy it was to predict the play. EMPTY BACKFIELD. Try watching the game and not follow the brown thing the television zooms in on. There's actually other things that happen. 3.6 in a division game is pretty damn good. Do that twice and guess what? Its third and three. Duh. Sieve my rump. Its no wonder you only saw one interference with Dez.

Oh wait....

The defense was bad. Really bad. But, the offense was every bit as bad. That tells me the team as a whole was no where near ready to play and a big part of the blame lies with the coaching staff.

The D has been in a steady decline. These days it's like a holiday when the opposition punts. Looks like the unit is rounding into true form and there's not much coaching can do to help. The schedule doesn't make it any easier - Chicago with its skill position players, Philly again then Indy.

We should be able to run the ball on Chicago but you are dead on that receiving corp for the bears will be tough for us to deal with. Chicago has owned us during the cutler years.

Why can't it be they just got whooped? It happens you know.

This coaching staff has been doing fine thus far .... now suddenly because a better, more physical team on one day out played us now its "they weren't ready to play after having 3 days to prepare"? How could that be (sarcasm).

Yup! This is exactly right. We didn't honestly look at this game beforehand and think we could win this game scoring 10 points. The offense was AWFUL. Defense was actually better after 1st quarter.

The defense looked gassed about halfway through the first quarter. They showed a sideline shot and those guys looked like they were going into double overtime.

What's it going to be then, eh?

We ran the ball pretty well last year against them if you recall.

The D has held up the 1st half of the year, but NFL coaches will find that weakness and expose/exploit it. Cows have plugged the "defensive" dam all year, but it looks like they've run out of fingers and a leak just sprung, hitting them right in the face.....

Both teams had a short week. That kind of effort and lack of preparation in a game of this magnitude AT HOME is 100% unacceptable. The whole organization should be embarrassed.

Who said no one was embarrased? You shouldn't be in this game if you didn't come away embarrased. But it doesn't take away that it still happens every now and again.

Let's be real. The only way to get rid of the embarrassment is to play the next game. These guys have to be embarrased and then have the world critique them from head to toe. Get battered and bruised, sleep with it, answer questions about it, and then have people like some of us question their manhood.

It's going to be a long 7 days.:(

It looked like Witten was embarrassed and pissed during the game. Every time they showed him on the sidelines he was screaming at someone.

Cutting him would send a hell of a message.

I'm not normally in favor of just cutting players, but I wouldn't complain if they cut Carter. If they're going to have bad play from that spot if might as well come from young player like Keith Smith or whoever is the replacement for Carter. He's the only player on this team that seems to be a quitter.

Defense was playing above its head early in the season. It has come back to earth.

I still think they just need to add a couple of dynamic players and the defense could be completely different next year. They have an OK base defense in place but just don't have much in the way of dynamic players. It would help if Lee could come back and stay healthy.

........seems as if Lee was the "anti-McCoy", his combination of speed and recognition seemed a better match than RoMacs
