Yes. My point is that if the Eagles come up against a better defense that doesn't shoot itself in the foot, then they might struggle to run the ball.

Can't you say that about anyone though?

When healthy their O-line is very good, and McCoy and Sproles is one of the best RB combos in the league, especially because they fit that offense perfectly. I don't see why they would have that much more trouble running the ball than anyone else, other than oppositions probably don't worry about the play-action as much with Sanchez in there.

Oh I agree...

It's going to be hard for us to stop the Eagles though. We can do it but we can't let Kelly's scripted plays to start the game beat us.

I think the truth lies in all points of view. Seriously everyone is right.
Jones is the problem
He's not going anywhere so find a way to deal with it
His coach is not a great coach and may never be one but he seems to at times motivate the team and at times let th go out and lay an egg
We have some great talent
We have some bad to mediocre talent
The play calling has been better overall but not perfect or completely creative though at times there's a nice surprise
The scheme is predictable but if we execute it doesn't matter bc they can't stop us
The defense is mediocre on talent but the coordinator is brilliant and gets the most from his guys at the same time in game adjustments tend to come in and out depending in the game
Romo needs Murray
Murray and the offense need Romo

Don't you see? EVERYONE of you is right. I have no idea what that means except let's see where the season ultimately takes us...just had to vent or I was going to press like on every single post...lol

I'm not remotely saying they are an "unbeatable force." As I've already said I expect them to be 1 and out in the playoffs if they make it because their current defense is terrible and is missing their best player.

All I am saying is the Kelly has taken a 4-12 team over and won the division once and is on his way to doing it again. And playing a fast, up tempo offense in football doesn't mean you can't have a decent defense - different sport. The Bills went to 4 consecutive SBs playing all up-tempo, no huddle.

Lol, if Garrett had done a quarter of what chip gas done on his first 2 years all the CZ homers would be saying he was tom Landry jr.....

Oh wait.....

The Chip love around these parts is a little much. Dude hasn't accomplished anything significant yet in the NFL. Last year they barely eeked by a mediocre Cowboys team to win what was a crappy division, only to immediately lose a home playoff game the following week. And this year is only 3 quarters of the way done. Lets see how this home stretch plays out.

It's not love for Kelly as much as it's relative to what Garrett has done in comparison during his process here which is in year 4 compared to Kelly's 2nd year.

Nor has Garrett but we defend this multi-year process. That's the rub, IMO.

I don't know how long Kelly's scheme will last in the NFL. But, more importantly, I see two QB's in Philly in that can run his offense and put points on the board while we have no one behind an aging Romo. Our window is now and we're letting a 6 and 1 start slowly slip away.

Vick looked decent (not great) w/ Kelly too...so that's actually 3 QBs. Now, in NY, he looks like Sanchez did.

Where are the Cowboys ultra-talented? Dez and who else. The OL is good but still really young. Romo is good but very limited with injuries. Witten is past his prime. The only ultra talent on defense is a reclamation project with nagging injuries (RoMc). Murray has done well with this OL, but I'm not sure the Cowboys rushing threat is as dangerous as Philly's has become.

I took the posting as they continually look for ultra talented players. Do they hit on them? Perhaps only on the OL and if we all recall Frederick was called a reach and he was. I still believe he would have been there in the late 2nd and early 3rd, but I'm happy to have him on the team. I think this is not a system generated offense, but still relies upon the talent of the players to really get it going. I'm I right? I am only saying this team doesn't pass the eye ball test. I don't see any domination in really any area. I will say this the only player I really feel comfortable with game in and game out is Bailey and he could be one kick away from getting the yips if we keep waiting for the rest of the team to catch up.

After all that we're at 8-4 in control of our destiny. These type of threads only get started after a loss. Did we not beat them badly a year ago in their house? Weren't they held out of a TD? The only epic collapse going on is within the fan base. The team still has life and meaningful games to play. It's not over.

Man oh man I see your point, but we are talking this year and just the utter collapse. In years past I expected this type of game from time to time. I just hoping we had turned a corner. We all have seen other teams have really bad games. What's the difference? Those teams have been going to playoffs and winning games. Those same teams seem to know how to look at a bad loss objectively and learn from it. Will they have another bad loss? Yes, but will it be in the same fashion each time? Not likely.

8-4. If you had told me that before the start of the season I would have been pleasently surprised. However, how they got there is bothering me and how they are building this team just again, my opinion, doesn't pass the sniff or eye ball test. We need another guard and tackle and perhaps even another guard/center that can push the current starters. We need a DL that can rotate in and out and get pressure without rushing a LB or CB. We need a secondary that can get some picks and stop 3rd down passes more often. I'm not asking for perfection, just improvement. Four games, four games before we hopefully can stop saying "maybe next year" I'm so sick..wait for it....AND tired of saying that. I agree man, this team has some life, but does it always have to be hooked up to life support?

I will agree that this offense doesn't make it as easy on Romo as it should; however, I feel like Romo has a big say in how the offense is setup. They have to have more quick hitting routes, IMO. The quick slant for instance. Even when the run slants, they have Romo dropping back deep and the slant route is already deep by the time he gets to the end of his drop. They need him throw that quick slant as soon as the ball hits his hands after the shotgun snap.

I wonder if the back plays a part in him not being able to torque as easily as he would like. I really wish we could get another young QB in this system and coach him up. No player lasts forever and Tony is galloping into the sunset with no other sheriff coming in to save the day.

His back issues are definitely part of it. The Cowboys definitely need a future replacement, and will look for one in the draft if they're smart. Romo is good, but obviously on the decline of his career.

I just get tired of them trying to find a QB on the cheap. I just want a good QB and not someone that only has one facet of a good game.

It's a QB friendly league right now...as long as you have the right coach/teacher...

Agree, but do you trust this staff and organization to draft a QB that will actually be able to play?

I don't believe they have the current staff to develop any QB they draft. It's not just picking the 'right' guy...it's what you do w/ them

Watch Shady & Sproles as RB's.. They hide behind / follow the Lineman before popping out, and using their cutting ability to avoid tacklers. When they can't get that " conceal " factor they are dropped for short yardage, or even behind the line
