I don't think any game we play moving forward is meaningless; especially a conference game.

nah my point is if the team spanks chicago we shouldn't throw a party on here because of it. we don't really learn anything from them beating chicago. we'll learn about this team after week 17. make the playoffs, then you can shower them with compliments.

Can we wait until after week 17 to shower them with ridicule if they don't make the playoffs??

Dude please do us all a damn favor and get the hell out of here, i mean GOOD Lord man. What kinda Dallas "fan" are you?? Honestly, there are way too many "Cowboy Fans" like this Zordon character and simply put, I cannot stand "fans" like these anymore. They spend all of their energy chastising and lambasting the 'Boys after a bad loss and DISAPPEAR when we win, it is a damn joke. I haven't been on this forum that long but I have already picked up on who the local clown haters are, and this cat ZORDON seems to take the cake as the village idiot. Zordon, again, please, do us all a favor and GO ROOT FOR THE EAGLES if you think Chip ******* Kelly is so great dude, no one on the Cowboys nor this board needs you as a fan.
is that you spaulding?

i said garrett should be gone if we miss the playoffs. that's after week 17 right?

Then why start this thread? Everything you posted knocks on us. You seem convinced already where this team is going. Philly is just at risk at missing the playoffs too. What happens when and if they don't make it? Does this thread go away??

I don't see them beating Chicago.

Big WRs kill this team. Cutler will look like Brady.

Get ready boys, the bricks are falling.

then i'll give them props. i made this thread b/c after starting 6-1 and a gang of home games staring us in the face, we should not be in this position in the first. we are on the verge of an epic collapse. getting our butts handed to us by a 2nd year head coach did not help matters. the ultimate decision on what happens to garrett should not be decided until after the season but it doesn't mean we can't comment on what's going on.

I don't buy it. This team can win with a real HC, even with JJ as GM. Garrett is what Jerry is as a problem. Admitting Garrett failed is admitting he made a mistake and needs a real HC.

After all that we're at 8-4 in control of our destiny. These type of threads only get started after a loss. Did we not beat them badly a year ago in their house? Weren't they held out of a TD? The only epic collapse going on is within the fan base. The team still has life and meaningful games to play. It's not over.

Kelly is a much better coach than Garrett. There's always excuses to be made, but that's what the evidence says right now.

I see what Garrett is trying to do here. I grasp the logic behind it. He wants a simple offense because a simple offense is a portable offense; it can win anywhere--much like the 90s Cowboys teams. Such an offense requires a high level of talent to function effectively week in and week out.

Unfortunately, in the modern, parity-driven NFL, such offenses aren't feasible anymore.

I just think Garrett is clueless and that's all he knows. He just sucks.

The Eagles have been stocking the pantry for years and as a result haven't been nearly as depleted as we have. .

Chip Kelly inherited a 4-12 team and Andy Reid drafted horrifically for years before Chip took over. Heck Kelley's drafts haven't even been all that either and they are playing Mark Buttfumble Sanchez at QB.

Where do you guys come up with this idea that Kelly took over a stocked team talent-wise? If they were, Reid would still be there.

Kelly is a good coach. No point trying to convince ourselves otherwise.

He's doing way more with way less in Philly than Garrett is, and he is doing it without 742 offensive and defensive coordinators to do everything but clap for him.

Maybe if we had hired someone with actual coaching experience instead of a trainee learning on the job we wouldn't need to wait 5 years to see some glimmer of maybe, hopeful, potential, if we're lucky actual success around here.

Stop with the Garrett nonsense. You're a diehard fan of this team. You have a brain. You know damn right well what is killing this team. Garrett is a symptom. The disease is named Jones.

I dont necessarily disagree with you but why not just root for another team then risen star?? Seriously ... It's been said at nauseam ... JERRY JONES is the owner of this team ... HE ISNT going anywhere anytime soon ...all the pouting and screaming of how bad Jerry is isn't going to change that...I hear it... I read it ... You are always screaming it ... But it's not changing ... So if it angers you so much why still be a fan of the Cowboys (well I am assuming you are a Cowboys fan?? Maybe you aren't ... I dunno ... I trust you are... )
I just couldn't imagine being a fan of something which I didn't enjoy or believe there is hope for improvement and better times ... .. Too stressful and life is too short

Dallas does not have a quality team. They have a quality half team.

I assume you are referring to the offense.

Regardless, that's the half I'd call "quality" and that consume the majority of the cap yet that's the part of the team that really spit the bit yesterday and I think they've been a let down in many critical situations throughout the season. I wouldn't be saying this if I wasn't constantly told how many superstars we have on offense (Dez, Murray, Romo, the line) so because the best assets are on that side of the ball, I am completely mystified how they can only score 10 friggin points.

I'm mystified how a second year coach with a back up QB who let his best receiver go in the off season, curb stomped the Cowboys.

I don't believe for one second that you could take Romo and Dez from the team and be remotely competitive, yet Chip Kelly effectively did this and is continuing to win.

Yeah, they got stomped by Green Bay but otherwise they have been a consistent winner well on their way to back to back division titles and the gap between them and us appears to be widening when you take into account they don't have to devote 16+ million to their QB which should allow them to improve even more next year.
People seem to think Chip Kelly is a joke with a gimmick offense but it appears to me they're stacking up enough wins to say otherwise.

This loss was incredibly disheartening for too many reasons to mention

The gap definitely seems to be widening. Cowboys beat them early in the Foles era...then lose a close one to close out the division...then this beat down w/ Sanchez @ QB

chip kelly in 2 years implemented a system that can succeed despite mark sanchez at the helm and multiple injuries to the offensive line. his system takes the pressure off the personnel and puts it on him to make i work.

jason garrett has been here for 7 years and still has a system that requires ultra-talented players at nearly every position (which is why the defense is constantly ignored) and puts immense pressure on the personnel to win their individual matchups. if there are any injuries or if one or two players play bad, all is lost. nothing is done to gameplan against individual teams and their weaknesses and nothing is done to create mismatches to help the personnel succeed in their on-on-one matchups.

jason garrett is a con-artist. he has conned a lot of you into thinking it's normal for this process to take this long. meanwhile the rest of the league continues to pass us by with less than half the time that has been afforded to this man. if we don't make the playoffs this year after all the good vibes from the first half of the season, he needs to be canned.

That Chip is a damn good coach doesn't make Jason a bad one.
Jason method is slower then Chips .Jason is getting there.

It is getting a little old though. Two steps foreword two steps back. Still need players but Philly wasn't all that healthy this season either.
We need a way better showing from here on out or JG isn't doing his job.
