We are going to win the Superbowl if we beat Indy

To believe we win the Super Bowl if we beat the Colts is to believe these things are mutually exclusive... they are not. Each game is it's own challenge onto it's self. Beating the Colts only means we have another game to win the following week.

NFL doesnt work that way. Momentum carries alot of weight.

No you're just a loyal fan. Loyal has been replaced with homer. In reality the realists are bandwagon fans.

We can definitely compete with the best. No doubt we make more believers on Sunday.

So what you're saying is that it's wrong to equate a loyal fan with a homer, but it's ok to equate a realist fan to being a bandwagon fan?

I say we lose to Denver

Denver won't make it, have you seen Manning lately definitly not himself. Sure they found a running game but i think it is because they had to. Manning doesn't seem like old Manning, his ball flight just doesn't seem right.

IMO the terms homer or realist are out of the equation. It only leaves you with fan or bandwagon fan. I'm talking about the same ones who come on here claiming to be realists after a loss and lump every season since 96 with that loss, but when we win they don't want to give credit. The same type of fan that'll just expend their energy on hating this team and want to turn around and say they're fans. Not buying it.

Denver won't get past any team with a good DL.

Cincy will take them down this week and they will have a touch time on the road this year in the playoffs

I see what you are saying, but I think you can be a fan and still be a realist. The idiots that come on here just to spew 100% negativity are not fans in any sense of the word. I consider myself a fan, but being realistic about this team going into the off season last year and thinking that this was going to be a rough season didn't make me a bandwagon fan. A fan calling out someone proclaiming that once the Cowboys beat the Colts, they are going to win the Superbowl doesn't make that fan that has a more realist approach any less of a fan that is maybe a little too optomistic.

OMG !!! Can we please STOP the Super Bowl talk? We've won 1 playoff game in 18 years. Let's take one step at a time.

thoughts?

am i delirious?

am i a homer?

The NFC is weak and there is no reason our talent shouldn't beat SEA/ARI/GB/DET/PHI in the playoffs. We are the more talented team. Top 6 QB:p:huh: top WR, Top rusher, Top 10 TE, etc. This team has the weapons. No more excuses. Don't come bringing up the D later...o_O When we don't respond that is not on the D. When will that get through? Keep us away from GB/DEt and our secondary. I think this team could work their scheme. GB/NE/DEt/DEN don't bring up their D's after a shootout...we do (W/odd pride as justification?). Soccer mentality...

I get you. My understanding of the OPs optimism in the event we win Sunday is lumped in with the other obstacles we've accompmished this season. I know it can sound a bit carried away but when you look at teams that are mentioned in SB talk like GB, Phi, Sea, and Den we've accomplished some things these teams haven't. Yet those teams would still continue to get the SB contender talk.

Are they brass, or are they paper mâché?
You can't be credited with brass for predictions on a message board unless you keep a running tab of all past predictions. People that like to predict should keep their sig updated with their past predictions and results (and links for poof).

Does that actually work for them ultimately?

Instead of firing passes they are forced to have a balanced attack. Not just a "token" running game?

It seems like it's become a bit more than just a token running game at this point (which is exactly what it was earlier in the year), so they've got that going for them, but panchucko is right -- Manning looks like he has the arm strength of a 12-year old girl right now. Don't know what's going on with him but if they want to do anything in the playoffs, they better put that arm on ice right now and rest it until the divisional round.

While I don't think beating the Colts means SB championship, it's a lot more likely ten Iggle fans would jump into the Schuylkill river. :D

Andrew Luck is very, very good. We are going to have a tough time with him on Sunday but I'm hoping for the best.

Peyton has looked a little off the last few weeks. It's still early to write him or the Broncos getting to the Super Bowl or possibly winning it. I am anxious to see how they do in Cincy this week. No question they are leaning on the running game now.
