ESPN First Take, SAS wearing I love Jerry Jones t-shirt

FWIW, Cris Carter pretty much said all of that on ESPN last night. Said that Tony didn't deserve the criticism in years past. I know other analysts have said the same thing, but I was a little surprised to hear Carter make those comments. For some reason I thought he was known as a "hater," but it's hard to keep all of that straight.

Yeah, even the NY Post article admitted that he has been carrying the weight of "America's Team" by himself for years now. Deep down, I think everybody knows the truth, but it's a whole nothing think saying it.

I think he's one of the worst analysts out there but he does seem to be one of the more reasonable with Romo.

I would love to be sitting next to these guys when they go off about how much of a choke artist Romo has been over his career. Then respond by introducing @percyhoward and clearing the room for the carnage.

Biggest myth in the NFL - Tony Romo chokes under pressure.

I had to tivo both shows because Stephen A.losing and also Golic lost a bet with a kid on his show. M and M weren't there today but Golic called in at 8:30. He has to send the kid to a Cowboys playoff game and said he would put him up in a hotel as well. Love it that the Boy's are NFC East champs. Glad for Tony and btw, Stephen A.giving Tony props as well.

This guy SAS is the worst. The more Dallas wins.... the more he hedges his bets. It basically comes down to Dallas will be "an accident" "somehow someway" before winning a SB. Classic Cowboy hater rhetoric goes something like.... you will be the worst in the NFCE... well you won't win the division. ... well you ain't winnin' no SB ... that's for sure!... blah blah...

Here's my problem with the Philly reaction. They are forced to give the Cowboys some respect but they are painting it as if Tony Romo has finally stepped up in the clutch. This is either lazy foolishness or an outright lie to discredit their hated rival. Tony Romo could have won a Championship 5 years ago. All this December crunch time stuff was nonsense. He didn't have the team.

Romo didn't do anything this year that he hasn't done before. The difference is his teammates are capable of carrying their weight too. At least enough of them are.
RS, Merry Christmas.

This is my favorite post you have ever made. You've made me laugh at times in the past. But you've never made me smile like this. We now have the team. Yes sir.

I know we don't agree on a lot about football. That's cool. That part has never bothered me. Merry Christmas man. Enjoy the hell out of it, from an old sparring partner.

Well said Risen Star!!!! Problem is too many will ever recognize the team concept and simply state hyperbole and falicies that every loss was Romo's fault etc

I've been reading and hearing a lot of "they'll go one and done" lately.

Okay. But that's still better than none and done.

I do somewhat agree though.. It don't mean a thing unless you get the ring...
But with this years expectations being what they were .. Getting in is exciting .. Winning at least one playoff game is better... Winning the NFC championship would be insanely crazy awesome good.... The Super Bowl ... Priceless

I'm sure that's true, but the bet was about wearing things that make you feel foolish. ;)

As a fan of the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys, it's been fun watching my teams cause so much distress for SAS this year!

Exactly, everyone expected him to do everything on his own while giving every other qb a pass when it comes to the people surrounding them. The online has been a farce for years, (I was never particularly impressed with the Davis, Adams, Kozier, Gurode, Columbo) and we have never committed to being balanced on offense the way we have this year. The coaches have done well getting this team to gel as well and play hard. I don't think enough can be said about that. Work on the dline this offseason, get Lee Healthy, resign Dez and I believe we will resign Murray too (it's how Jerry rolls).

I'll say anything for a like, bro.

No. For the first time in forever I think the Cowboys have a legit chance. They have the pieces to win a game a certain way. A way that has historically been the most successful in the postseason. Run the ball. Control the clock. Let your franchise QB do the rest.

Oh, I'm enjoying it. One thing you learn as you get older, you're not guaranteed a next time. I will be all in with this playoff run.

Happy Holidays. To you and all my CowboysZone friends. We're all friends, right? Except maybe for Idgit and I.

If they do get bounced in the first round they still took the division and ended the Eagles' season. Advantage Cowboys. Shut your piehole, Philadelphia.

Did hell just freeze over?

How sweet it is to see Skip ripping Stephen A Smith today. Stephen A who is a Eagles fan loses his bet on who will win the NFC East title. He is wearing a Dallas Cowboys hat and a shirt that has How Bout Dem Cowboys on the back and the front it says I love Jerry Jones. LOL.

He is a new York Giants fan. Not eagles

Romo deserves the MVP in my book (along with Demarco), but I don't agree with you. Romo has not always played this well in the biggest games, and it isn't just about supporting cast either. Tony himself will tell you that he is the best he has ever been. I agree with him.
