In Week One, the Niners rolled over the Cowboys with ease and appeared poised to be legitimate Super Bowl contenders for the fourth season in a row. Dallas looked headed to a 5-11 type of season.

Fast-forward to near the end of the season, and the Cowboys have gone 11-3 since that game and locked up a playoff berth, while the Niners have gone 6-8 since that game and are already out of playoff contention.

On Thanksgiving, the Eagles rolled over the Cowboys with ease, 33-10, and appeared heavily favored to win the division. Dallas' playoff hopes were suddenly in real jeopardy.

Fast-forward a few weeks, and the Cowboys have gone 3-0 since that game and locked up a playoff berth, while the Eagles have gone 0-3 since that game and are already out of playoff contention.

Winning out in the long run feels good, my fellow Cowboys fans, does it not?

Some of us complain about the Eagles fans bragging and boasting. I would be very careful about doing the same thing until we win a playoff game or better.

No popping any corks till our 1st Playoff Win...
And we will...

It's OK to celebrate a division title. We can pop corks and brag about that for one week. At least let us have that.

You can, I'm just not trying to jinx it for myself. Looking & acting like a Eagirls fan (No Ships to show for)... Poker face for 2014 season.. I really think we can at least be in the championship game.. Then I know I got some bragging rites!

Who cares any game now is gravy after a projected 5 or 6 win season. We can boast all we want as we were not even supposed to be here.

You missed my point. It's not about celebrating it's about cracking on other teams.

Well, they crack on us even when we're successful, so it's our turn to crack on them for those who are into that kind of thing.

Winning in the playoffs will feel better. We haven't done anything yet.

There's a difference between boasting and the sheer enjoyment of making those that doubted the Cowboys this offseason look foolish. I don't believe anyone is talking Super Bowl, just rather excited about the road ahead. Cowboys fans have been waiting to feel this way for a long time!

Agreed, but as Jason Garrett said, "Wear the hats for a day, then give them to someone...wife, children, etc. We have higher goals than NFC East champions", or something like that! LETS.........MOVE...........ON!!!!!
I love that philosophy!!!

It's a pointed reminder not to make grand proclamations after one game.

Yes it is but trust in the fact that it will not change anything. Next year the exact same thing will happen after one bad game as it always does.

That's the life of an NFL fan I suppose.

There's no doubt I want to have a lot of playoff success this year. However, the season has already been very successful. Every year over the past several, I've predicted between 10 and 12 wins. It never panned out. This season I predicted that the team could go anywhere from 5-11 to 11-5, but I thought 5-11 was much more likely. You just never know. Expectations has already been surpassed. But, once you get into the dance, you always want more. Regardless how things pan out, I will be very happy with this season.

Wasn't McCoy walking around with the belt on the sidelines after Turkey day. Those guys acted like they won the Super Bowl.

People on here have every right to celebrate how they want. If you want to be reserved about it book it as a one person party and don't invite others.

That only applies to the players and rightly so. Fans can celebrate until the next hurdle.

I loved it some of my FB friends are Niner and Eagle fans and talked crap all year, they all have gone silent, I think I may send out search parties to make sure they are OK.
