In Week One, the Niners rolled over the Cowboys with ease and appeared poised to be legitimate Super Bowl contenders for the fourth season in a row. Dallas looked headed to a 5-11 type of season.
Fast-forward to near the end of the season, and the Cowboys have gone 11-3 since that game and locked up a playoff berth, while the Niners have gone 6-8 since that game and are already out of playoff contention.
On Thanksgiving, the Eagles rolled over the Cowboys with ease, 33-10, and appeared heavily favored to win the division. Dallas' playoff hopes were suddenly in real jeopardy.
Fast-forward a few weeks, and the Cowboys have gone 3-0 since that game and locked up a playoff berth, while the Eagles have gone 0-3 since that game and are already out of playoff contention.
Winning out in the long run feels good, my fellow Cowboys fans, does it not?
