But there were six police calls involving people at the house ranging from a baby locked in a car to harassing telephone calls to a stolen iPad. One call was to cancel another. No charges were filed against Bryant.

Still, the calls have resonated loudly at the headquarters of Bryant’s employer, the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys were well aware of the calls, which occurred between 2011 and 2013, long before they made news. They’ve examined the issues. The preference of the organization, which keeps closer watch on Bryant than it does on his teammates, would be to limit the number of people who live at or drop by the house.

Pretty lengthy article and somewhat concerning I guess. I'm not sure what to think.

I think its a little concerning. Im sure some will come heavily to Dezs defense, which i get. But it is a pattern. How many times have the cops been to Romos house?

The guy just needs to be careful. If he actually does have 10 other random people living with him right now, there's no way that's going to end well. You hear all the time about how guys have no money just a few years after they're done with pro sports and it's almost always because they can't say no to friends/family that try and take advantage of them.

You wanna give him the benefit of the doubt but its tough. Maybe a franchise tag would be the move.

Yeah, i worry more about whoever he has living there and possible bad asociations

I think its someone digging for dirt and having to go back 13 months to find calls. And those calls never involved Dez. A locked baby in a car?

What does any of this matter?

If the Cowboys are actually concerned with the fact he has 10 people living with him and it might actually make a difference when contract negotiations start again, well, I'd say it matters.

Like someone else said, this does sound like a new spin on old news. The timing is very suspect....

The whole 10 random ppl living with him thing does make me worry a bit (coupled with the multiple cop calls to the house) but who are we to judge? This whole scenario reminds me of my boy MC Hammer. Anyone that knows his history remembers how he tried to help every one of his "friends" by giving them jobs on and behind the stage. Hammer would have 40 some odd people with him on tours doing his routine. That all backfired when the money dried up and all of those so called friends became ghosts. Hammer fell on very hard times due mostely to his large heart and generosity. Trust me on this.. Dez would benefit immensely from sitting down and watching the Hammer story.

If there is anything significant jerry and Jason know it, let them make the decision

Hopefully not much. Still though. How many times have the cops been to Romos house?

Romo does not have quite the same back story as Dez. I doubt Romo has friends and family trying to get a piece of the high life by living off him. Dez probably needs to handle it just like Tyron Smith has, who by the way has had the cops to his house at least once.

Yet we won superbowls with a team that frequented 'the white house' and gave top wr money to a guy who stabbed a teamate, got caught with cocaine, and later found a crack pipe inexplicably in his car.

Ya...this is a huge worry. ;)
