All this happened between 2011 and 2013. There's a reason Dez throws up the (X) after every touchdown now. Anyone who knows what it means knows what I'm talking about.

I believe him when he says "he" did nothing wrong, but we all know Dez has some trifling *** people in his family.

Like someone else said, this does sound like a new spin on old news. The timing is very suspect....

The whole 10 random ppl living with him thing does make me worry a bit (coupled with the multiple cop calls to the house) but who are we to judge? This whole scenario reminds me of my boy MC Hammer. Anyone that knows his history remembers how he tried to help every one of his "friends" by giving them jobs on and behind the stage. Hammer would have 40 some odd people with him on tours doing his routine. That all backfired when the money dried up and all of those so called friends became ghosts. Hammer fell on very hard times due mostely to his large heart and generosity. Trust me on this.. Dez would benefit immensely from sitting down and watching the Hammer story.

And talking to TyronSmith... Dez needs to grow up and smarten up

The timing of this article is so random. It would've made sense after the Crapoport story, but now? Pffpt.

timing is interesting is it not? Apparently NO PROBLEMS for over a year yet somehow DMN thinks this is news NOW?

Sounds like JJ is posturing for contract talks. Trying to spin some concerns for a lighter contract.

How is this newsworthy? The story came out months ago about stuff that happened years ago and they decide to regurgitate now?

The obnoxious "DFW" media strikes again, these guys all root for other teams and are from other parts of the country, they just want drama in Dallas.....

Pretty sure that's what it is too. Both sides can be expected to negotiate through the media.

Yeah, seems like it, but it seems a little short sighted if so. Why give Dez anything but love over these next 5 weeks? Happy Dez + playoff success >>>>>>> Dez contract.

It comes to the point, that somethings should just remain a matter of one's own discretion...like the adult or not, his life style is his to choose.

Embarrasing is a mainstay of sports now, and the media has gone out of it's way to create just such an environment.

This sounds like a new spin on old news to me.

This. The concern isn't with anything illegal, but with those "hangers on" that every athlete who ever came out of the hood ever dealt with.

"You made it. Don't forget about us!" Even though they've done next to nothing to help in his success. You see it all the time. Even with (especially with) family. Look at Tyron Smith's situation. Or that kid from the Columbus Blue Jackets.

If/when Dez goes broke, rest assured they won't be there for him. I hope he's smart about this.

BUT... that should have little to no bearing on his upcoming contract.
