"There has been something wrong with Murray's game the last couple of weeks." Maybe not an exact quote, but words to that effect during the game broadcast.

What the heck was he talking about?

basically he was trying to say that Murray didn't look like he was running the same, that tackles he was breaking earlier in the season he wasn't breaking anymore, that type of thing.

Wishful thinking perhaps. I don't think he has any love for the Boys.

He was talking about guys wearing down late in the season. Basically saying he doesnt seem to have quite as much spring in his step. He wasnt being critical, just pointing out something true of most guys as the season wears on. Now whether or not it applies to Murray can be debated.

Murray has looked slower and overall weaker in December, just by my eye. It makes sense considering how much we've ran him all year. He has sustained some nicks for sure, even outside of the hand. I also think defenses have been gearing up to stop the run on 1st down now more than ever.

I think we're going to see us break away from our hardcore 1st down run tendencies and both phases of our offense are going to benefit from it in the playoffs.

At least I hope.

There is some truth to what he's saying. Whether Demarco is worn out or not, he has been running like it. It could be the injury to the hand causing him to run differently than he would if his hand was okay.

Alluding to the fact that he is not running through contact the last month or so compared to Sep/Oct. Just wear and tear after a physically demanding season for a workhorse RB...

Hmm, he was also quite critical of Garrett for leaving the starters in so late in the game....

Lynch was profuse with his praise for the Cowboys throughout that game. Downright giddy.
I don't know how he feels historically, but the guy loves this team (or at least the offense).

Murray's yards per carry were way down (2.6 ypc) the previous two compared the rest of the season. But his bad hand probably had something to do with it.

the very net play was the long run to break the record lol.

Please offer anything that supports this theory.

Maybe he has a point, over the last 3 games of the season, Murray averaged 2.6, 2.6 and 5.0 YPC totaling 239 yds. Not really on the same pace as the beginning of the year but then teams are stacking the box now which will have an effect and just opens up the passing game.

I'm not against giving Randle some more carries though.

idk, the Boys dominance in the game was pretty glaring. I think he was just stating the obvious as he was calling the game.

His last 5 games....

vs Philly: 20 carries for 73 yards for 3.7 ypc
vs Chicago: 32 carries for 179 yards for 5.6 ypc
vs Philly: 31 carries for 81 yards for 2.6 ypc
vs Indy: 22 carries for 58 yards for 2.6 ypc
vs Washington: 20 carries for 100 yards, 5.0 ypc

Over the past 5 games he has average 98 yards per game and 3.9 ypc.

Of course if you stretch it out beyond 5 games the numbers start to look better, however, there is <some> truth in Lynch's analysis.

It was really funny, just after Lynch got done making some critical remark, Murray broke off that long run the very next play. And Murray broke several tackles on his TD run, a little while after Lynch got done saying how he's not breaking tackles like he was earlier in the year. Finally, Lynch said, "This is where Murray is telling John Lynch to shut the heck up." Lynch basically admitted that Murray was making his "analysis" look foolish.
