Yes we need Defense, Do we need more Offense?

Kinda have to wait and see who we keep and who is told to pack their crap. Don't we? We "may" need to find a #1 receiver or a back to compete with Randle/Dunbar. So many things need to happen before we can prioritize draft needs.

Hope Jerry learned that if you stay the same-----you actually go back. You always HAVE to try to upgrade your team. We may need more defensive players but no way do you just stay put as is with the offense. Injuries, underperformance have a tendency to make you regret it. If Dallas is going to be a power running team which it appears it is, then we need to get competition for Tyler Clutts----need a battering ram to block for the HB and get short yardage and screen passes to the flat. Moose Johnston type of guy.

I wouldnt mind getting a RT in the draft, not necessarily day one or 2, we need a better run blocking TE, I wish i knew more about Devin Street, and of course alot depends on Murray.

Replacing Harris would be the right thing to do, get younger and save money in the process. I think an upgrade at right tackle would take this line to another level, since I see Free as to weak and Parnell as a swing tackle off the bench. I like Murray but he did leave some yards on the field as well as have some ball security issues, so I would let him walk as well and go with a younger/cheaper option. I also worry about Leary and his degenerative knee condition but so far he is holding up but that is an issue that needs to be monitored.

I don't want to see us take a step back offensively while we're trying to improve the defense. We'll be making moves of some sort at RT/ swing tackle this offseason. Running back, obviously. And then, if we lose Harris, we'll have a position on the WR group/ST that needs to be filled. I don't think we do any of that with more than a middle round pick or two, though, unless a real value player just falls to us in the draft someplace.

No matter what we need on defense, I hope we're open to adding the right offensive talent if it's there, begging to be drafted.

We're very thin at WR. I think Williams is/will be fine as a #2, but if he or Dez goes down, we have Harris or Street starting on the outside. We could certainly stand to add a talented body or two to that group.

Speed receiver, speed rb in draft...What else if anything? Need more firepower I say...

It would be good to add offensive talent via the draft but only if it is not at the expense of the defense. A guard (Mike Iupati) would also be nice.

I would like to see a speed WR added. Good chance of a new RB and OL added as well. Maybe QB.

BPA never hurts. Will be interesting if someone like AJ Cann - Guard SC is there at 27 and he is rated a lot higher than any other position. Do we take the #1 rated guard? We did try and trade back into the 3rd round last year for Trai Turner. hmmmmm.

Leary really started to get exposed a little late in pass protection. He struggles against good interior tackles. I wouldn't mine some depth at tackle either.

Pickup another FA or mid round WR. I still think Williams will continue to progress, and Beasley is fantastic, but I won't count on the health of the WR corps for another season.

Naturally we will need another RB if we are going to lose murray.

I'd also invest in a better backup QB than Weeden. If we're serious about a 2015 run, we need a backup plan in case we lose romo for a game or two.

When it comes to the draft they shouldn't over-focus on need. Use free agency to fill needs and take BPA in the draft. That's the best way to end up with the most talent on the team.

Often, we don't really even know the needs in May. In 2012 the OL looked OK in May but fell apart in training camp. In 2013 the same happened with the DL. In 2014 LB looked reasonably good but ended up being dependent on a training camp trade for RoMc and 11 starts from a 4th round pick.

Man you couldn't be more right about the 2013 DL but more wrong about the 2012 OL. Remember we signed Bernadeau & Livings for the 2012 OL and had Cook starting at center (in place of Costa). That OL never once looked good lol.

The DL for last year, 100% right. We were supposed to have a healthy Ware, Ratliff, Spencer, an up-and-comer in Crawford. What could have been....
