Smart people use iPhones

Smart people look at both phones, weigh the pros and cons of each and decide which ones they like best and fits them best.
After they have done so they don't turn into irritating apple fan boys or droid fan boys who like to crap on anyone that does not have the same phone THEY think is the best.

I have had both...I prefer android for me.
My wife has had both...she prefers iphone for her.

We are happy with our individual phones and don't belittle the others for this or that.

Simple.

Shes just happy and smarter.

Ummm wealthy people buy iPhones. Wealthy people go to college. If you seriously think that buying an iPhone is a sign of being intelligent, you're an idiot.

Not to mention the whole fact that their sole definition of "smart" is "college graduate." I know some real dummies with degrees.

Yahoo news feed knows my cookies enough to bring up most articles about Android and Apple products and I will normally click into them.

Sadly that news market (for the cells) is mostly rumor based and mock scenarios of what a new flag shop model might be or they are written by an person who is clearly a fan over one device and is extremely biased against the other to the point of listing a negative for a phone even if the negative is not true.
For example...An apple guy would be saying, one thing that even android people do not like is the idea that android users can not go and see what app is drawing a percentage of the battery. He then says of course you could down load an app for that information but that does not count.

I am thinking...you can download an app for that and it should count, why would it not count. However if you really don't want to download an app for that, you can do it in your settings without an app anyway. So not only are they being biased against a product they are being paid to cover, they don't even know the product they are covering enough to give accurate information.

I have seen it the other way with android people saying things about apple that was not true as well or they just did not know better.

There are a few good articles that you can tell a writer learned that you should be unbiased and objective when covering products in order to give a thorough review. Oddly enough I have found better reviews on Youtube of android vs IOS phones that are objective even though a person is upfront and say they are a fan of one device or the other.

Now with all of that said...almost ANY of those articles or youtube reviews there always breaks out a war between apple and android fan boys about how one system completely sucks and the other is the best and anyone that does not agree is stupid.

So since I tend to watch are read a bunch about the topic (not an expert by any means) when it comes around time for updating phones and want to make a good choice of what fits my needs and desires the best....I tend to be a little more hypersensitive and annoyed by the apple/android fan boys arguments.

I find that there are three types of people that use iPhones.
  1. Sheep (Hipsters, fanboys, people who think the iPhone makes them look cool/hip)
  2. People who suffer from the Ragu Effect. (people who only know/used iPhone so they don't know what it is actually like to use a different smartphone. ie, think Ragu is good because they've never tried anything else)
  3. Non-engineering types. (people who don't want the effort to learn how things work or customize their user experience)

Just in case you did not read my last post and seen I was talking about a good deal of people when it comes to android vs ios debates.

I am also pretty sure it has happened on this forum in previous threads and I would imagine that you have been a part of it as well as others.

So even if I did not say it in this particular thread at this particular time...others have belittled people just because they don't have the same opinion of which is the best product. That is not butt hurt, that is truth.

Just switched to iPhone for the first time. It took me a couple days to get used to but really I like both Android and ios. No huge difference in my opinion.

I was astounded to read an article that said the world spent a total of 3.3 trillion dollars on mobile devices and connectivity last year. To each his own but my personal preference is to carry a T-Mobile pay as you go plan that costs me about $100/year.

You should be careful before you hate on some one.
