What if we:
Resign Murray, let's say 5mil per
Randle ends up getting fleeced by his problems
Vikings up right cut AP

What is our salary cap with AP taking a friendly $3mil deal? With what happens above? Is Dunbar signed long term? Williams?

I know more in the know post often.... So what's the ramifications?

Something to get away from this Dez stuff

You'd have a better chance of finding the Dez Bryant video than having this scenario play out.

Actually this scenario isn't so far fetched. Aren't Murray and Peterson good friends? Why not play together for the same team. Murray on a long term deal and Peterson on a cheap short term.

Problem is when it's 4th and 1 or 4th and goal and both players feel like they should get the ball.

has it ever worked- 2 top backs on the same team at the same time?

This is what we do here. We get AP after he is cut, sign Murray for 3 million a year. Sign Ray Rice for 1 million a year. Then Marshawn Lynch retires, we negotiate a 5th round pick to the Seahawks and get him sign him for 8 large bags of skittles a day.

I could see it now. AP accusing Romo and Murray of drawing up plays in the sand.

That is actually a good question what would have been an example of two RBs that led the NFL in rushing at one time or another playing on the same team at the same time. Any history buffs take a stab at that?

Heck lets just sign Murray, AP AND Marshawn Lynch and run the Wishbone.

Dorsett and walker didnt work out too well. not that walker was a leading rusher in the nfl

Neither was Tony, I don't believe.

However, I do think that you have to consider the fact that Tony was at the end of his career when Herschel came to Dallas.

Well before the NFL the Browns had Motley and Brown. Not sure on any other duo.

I hate the off season.........

I know, but it's sorta like the same Tony & Herschel set up....last year was the only year in which Murray played every game. Who wouldn't want a rested, low carry AP coming in? Is that far fetched considering:
1. Dallas wants Murray back as claimed but at a fair price?
2. AP wanting to get out of Minny? Especially since his salary right now. I consider him in the driver seat really.....

Ah, the off season..... One can dream

Off the top of my head, I'm going to say George Rogers and Earl Campbell for the Saints.

And now that I think about it, Rogers also played for the Skins. I believe that he played with John Riggins so that would be two times.
