The Walking Dead (S5) - 2nd half of season thread ***Spoilers***

I think the last episode of the season is when Morgan will appear.

ok, let's think through this.

i'm hearing some people say that there are "big plans" for daryl coming up. whether that means we lose him in the finalie or not, who knows. personally he's one of the untouchables to me, but the writers don't seem to give a damn about that if they can lob in a last minute death to further such a complex plot. if there is some truth to this, and then morgan comes up - morgan has been tracking and learning daryl kinds of ways of survival and could potentially fill that role.

i'd rather them put some effort into more development of story and less shock n awe but if we get morgan back, he's one of my favorite lingering untold stories i'd love to hear more about.

Yeah probably a couple of those folks will be removed from the roster by the end of the season.

ok, so who would be the most likely to get taken out, buffet style:

the defrocked priest
noah
most of the town they're now in
and with any luck and prayers answered, carl.

I'm predicting another cast member demise this next week. Who, I know not, but it seems to me that every time Talking Dead advertises a special "surprise" cast member on the show for the next week, it turns out to be whoever it was that got offed.

Aaaaaaaaaaand, this next week? Yep, "Special surprise cast member"!

So, I am NOT the only person who wants that kid off the show. As much as I detest Gabriel and dislike Noah for getting Tyrese killed, neither compare to Carl for me. I have wanted that kid gone for a long time. I am sorry that the zombie apocalypse happened during his childhood but the adolescent nonsense Rick has dealt with from his kid got on my last nerve long ago. The show has caught me in a repeating reaction loop...

"******! They killed Hershel. Why wasn't it Carl?"
"******! They killed Bob. Why wasn't it Carl?"
"******! They killed Beth. Why wasn't it Carl?"
"******! They killed Tyrese. Why wasn't it Carl?"

Enough! Just let the kid wander off into a walker herd somewhere. Rick would get over it eventually.

I'm still struggling to understand what the point of the priest is/was.

DE - i think many wish carl to be the next buffet.

ya know, i'm kinda struggling to get the point of terminus, and then the atlanta hospital that was fine for living in except daryl didn't have woods to shoot opossums. i can understand why people still consider this entertaining but if you go back and watch some earlier shows, the writing was just so much better. character development, existed. it seems there was a natural progression of a story line that was different, interesting, and had value to the viewer.

we bring in characters to kill off it would seem, not to tell a story. the whole new "perfect village" is bunk to me cause if a zombie herd comes around those walls are history. i'll keep watching cause nothing else is on sunday nights now and i still hold out hope it will turn back around. but it's just as good as it used to be. to me.

That wall sure didn't seem very strong. The pictures weren't clear enough when he first showed them and it looked like it may be heavily fortified. Now that they're there, it doesn't look like anything a smart car couldn't easily punch a whole in.

I won't say Carl's "untouchable" but he's close. Rick is the only untouchable cast member (at least until the series finale).

There's a chance! :p

you can only have so many main characters taking the story lines...if you spent time on all of them, it'd be years before you got through barely any story. You need a couple main characters and a couple subs, the rest are just fill ins.

Rick is a main, Daryl and Carol and Michonne are your subs...though it seems they're trying to make michonne the other main.

everyone else is a filler.

i really think next, glen goes and then maggie off's herself...or carol goes and daryl goes on a rampage.
