Felix was great if he was used for what he was instead of trying to make him a full time back.

The same with Marion Barber both he and Felix were very good situational backs but their careers went down the drain trying to turn them into what they weren't. Jerry said when he drafted Felix the Cowboys weren't looking for a starter but the team tried turning him into that and he flamed out.

I was one of those guys, but there was a time where ghost Felix existed.....and by that I mean when he ran threw the line so fast that the tv couldn't keep up and 2-4 Felixs where on the screen at one time. Knock me or Felix if you want but he had talent

He showed glimpses of talent and had games here and there he played well but as a whole, Felix was a dumb player and over rated.

What caused Felix to go down the drain was the weight gain due to trying to improve his durability and I believe the loss of desire after becoming the starter and Murray replacing him. He had some injury issues early on and bulked up which slowed him down causing him to lose the burst and the speed he displayed his first couple of seasons. By 2011 he was clearly not the same back we saw those first 2 seasons where he showed so much promise. He averaged 8.9 a carry his rookie year and had a 60 yard TD run. He looked very impressive initially just check his numbers and the big plays he made.

Once Felix finally became the starter he got injured opening the door to Murray setting the Cowboys franchise single game rushing record in 2011. I'm sure Felix felt that could have been him running wild on the Rams that day and the desire he lost that season from losing his starting job due to the emergence of Murray was evident the following year when he failed his conditioning test which marked the beginning of the end of his career with the Cowboys.

Potentially.....in the event of a zombie apocalypse.

But even then I think enough running backs would escape. :)
