1 mil won't even cover the increased cost of expenses for where he'll be. with texas no state tax and cost of life much cheaper, he needs a lot more than $1mil to make up the change itself, much less make up a career difference.

Agreed....It could be about guaranteed money also. It may not really just be 1 million. Dallas could have offered some deal that allows them to void out years and not pay as much in the end.

Irvin saying players texting him saying "what the hell are we doing ?" . Irvin saying the front office sending horrible message in lockeroom by not signing a guy who works hard and lead league in rushing .

I believe we're playing this shrewdly and correct yet this is the point that stings. Irving does have a point. I guess the price of doing business. The guy was an absolute warrior for us and a great teammate.

Maybe we should go sign a pissed off Ryan Matthews ? Watch him come in here stay healthy and lead league in rushing . Ability wise he's just as good as Murray .

Or did he officially sign with Philly ?

I can't believe Murray would be willing to relocate and play for another team just for an extra 1 mill.

He'll spend all that money just relocating.

And on psychiatrists once he has to deal with the Philly fan base the first time he fumbles, and costs them a game, or runs for about 50-60 yards behind their line....

Irvin is right.....Regardless of how you feel about paying Murray you cant deny that a well respected player being made to look like this in front of the nation isn't good for anyone involved or anyone on the team.

Dallas should have just been upfront and told Murray "Look we will only pay you $Xm per year....take it or leave it but we wont negotiate"......Murray deserved the respect of this much. Then this would have been over already one way or another.

Maybe so but the fact Dallas has talked of Murray giving them the chance to give a counter offer tells me they could very well be willing to come up from where they are now.

Yeah.. Dumb move by Murray imo.

Should've just took what Dallas offered.

Oh well.

Yea but if players are pissed off or see other guys bust their butts and don't get paid . Irvin says it effects morale .

Doesn't seem to impact the Patriots who let guys walk on a regular basis. Sounds like the Cowboys made a fair offer to Murray, which is far different from just turning their backs. But if the players are upset, then they are upset. No need for that to be public.

True, and Murray hasn't said a word.
