Truer words half never been spoken or written about Murray/McFadden and what the heck we are doing for 2015.
The anxiom should be this: Never give up a 1,8000-yard back for a 600-yard back.
Also, don't expect quality from the Raiders.
We are truly settling for mediocrity (if dat) in our running game -- and that aint good for our passing game. And it certainly aint good for a ground-control game that lactates the clock and keeps the good offenses out there off the field.
OK, yes, we needed cap space and we could not give Murray the moon. But hail, jerra, we needed someonly slightly better than McFadden, a rundown Raider reject.
I am depressed and am thinking of going over to jack's pool room and video game center where they serve sandwiches from a machine. And that aint good.
Must. Support. Everything. The. Team. Does.
Fan. Card. At. Stake.
So, if he ends up sucking in training camp and doesn't make the team, we give up 200k?
If so, why do people have a problem with that?
As a vested Vet his salary for the 2015 season would be guaranteed if he is on the opening day roster.
A person really should..Nothing worse than a bunch of arm chair QB's boo hooing because a player doesn't meet their ignorant, useless, standards..When he breaks a run they'll be on here saying he's the best thing since sliced Bread...lol

Which is still, according to Mickey, slightly above the vet minimum. most of his contract numbers are tied into incentives. And if he is on the opening day roster it means he beat out other options in camp.
That is about as close to having zero opinion as possible. Just shrug your shoulders, means about as much.
Also being overpaid right now.

IRVING, Texas -- If Darren McFadden does something that has never been done in Dallas Cowboys' history he will make $5.85 million over the next two seasons.
If he fails to rush for 1,000 yards in either season, the base value of the contract is $3 million.
McFadden received a $200,000 signing bonus and will receive a $900,000 base salary in 2015 for a $1.15 million cap figure. He earns $9,375 for every game he is on the 46-man roster. In 2016, he will earn a base salary of $1.25 million and he has per-game roster bonuses that can earn him an extra $500,000. If he does not play in eight games in 2015, then the max he could earn on those per-game bonuses in 2016 is $250,000.
If he runs for 1,600 yards in back-to-back years, he will earn an extra $2.85 million. The closest that has happened in team history has been in 1991 and 1992 when Emmitt Smithran for 1,563 yards and 1,713 yards.
If McFadden rushes for 1,000, 1,200, 1,350 or 1,600 yards in either year he can earn up to $2.1 million. He would earn an extra $750,000 with consecutive 1,600 yard seasons. Back-to-back 1,200-yard seasons would net him an extra $250,000 and back to back 1,400-yard seasons would net him an extra $500,000.
If McFadden, who has one 1,000-yard season in his career, can do what Smith or Tony Dorsett do, then the Cowboys would gladly pay him $5.85 million and they would have a terrific bargain on their hands as well.
So let me get this straight.
You are just admitting since it is a possibility he is a waste of time and since there is no risk, why care?

This is going to be a fun offseason.
A bunch of people defending McFadden where just two days ago some wretch even suggested the possibility and there was a full scale board beatdown.
Wait, it was endorsed by the front office now you say? Oh, well that changes everything.
