The signing of Greg Hardy has been controversial for the Dallas Cowboys.

While the organization clearly believes in second chances, many have asked do the Cowboys have any 'moral obligations' when it comes to signing players?

Hardy remains on the commissioner's exempt list after being found guilty of misdemeanor domestic violence only to have the charges dropped on appeals after the accuser failed to show up for the trial.

Last week, the Cowboys officially signed Hardy to a one-year contract worth up to $13.1 million. Many have been critical of the move, including local media and the mayor of Dallas.

But Hardy doesn't seem fazed by the negative attention. The defensive end took to social media Monday to post a message to all the naysayers. The original Instagram post has since been deleted, but Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News transcribed it as follows:

"I don't Care If U Like Me, I Like Me and God knows all so I pray he Blesses America, The Cowboys and no place else #happy to have an opportunity #WorkLikeUAlwaysDo#Harder#Hardy#sackscoming#goodmorning all real Kraken fans I love u guys."

Personally i really could care less about the tweet, doesn't effect me one way or the other...typically though its best for guys in his position to lay low for a bit

I only have three words for you: Kill the quarterback

My favorite all time favorite player is Michael Irvin.
As a fan I did not sign a morals clause in regards to players.
We are imperfect beings created by imperfect beings.
He has been reprimanded and punished for earlier deeds.
If he does something to warrant his exodus from the team, then he deserves to go.
But for now...

He's my man!

Greg Hardy is not coming to Dallas for all of us to join a book club with. The Cowboys are in the winning business.

The off the field stuff is between Hardy, the NFL, and the Front Office of the Dallas Cowboys.

Listen..

If the team can overcome Josh Brent's problems and bring him in to play again..

Hardy is a cakewalk.

I think this is a great move.

Also like the Darren McFadden move.

Both these signing for low risk high reward deals leaves the Cowboys able to really make the draft work for them without needed to take a risk trying to trade up for a DL or RB.

Best player available and that could be any one of 5-6 positions from CB to RB to Lber to safety or DL.

That's a lot of options.

The organization better make him available to the media sooner than later. Definitely don't want the first opportunity to be in Oxnard.

I'm upset. I thought he cared. ... I'm taking my like back.

I like him and am glad he is here in Dallas.

Hopefully we can figure out a way to work a multi-year deal with him.

If we can sign Mcclain for like 2-3 yrs, i would love to see the intensity coming from those two. An intensity that would seep into the youngins.
