I will like the fact that he got a sack I will not like the man if you can call him that. Guys who beat on women I have 0 respect for, hell with him it is a Fricken game. What he did is real life it is not damn game. Really have we gotten to this point as fans that a game is more important than anything else in life? Yeah he gets a sack that so what

I hear you and understand. I don't want to get into it here (because every Hardy thread could end up discussing that), but everyone is different in how they think and feel about things like this. For me, I'm just going to say that what happens from here on out is how I will determine if I'm in Hardy's camp or not. If he stays clean going forward then I will feel like he learned his lesson (or the girl was trying a shakedown) and DV won't be a part of his life. He has paid for whatever happened that night and he will continue to do so this season.

Another incident though and that will be that, as far as I'm concerned.

and you of course know the whole story - talk about self righteous BS.

It gets tiresome, doesn't it? The DA didn't feel he had solid enough evidence to pursue the case but we've got a bunch of posters on the Zone who've got it all figured out.

Awesome movie. And what you said is completely right.

I just hope after he knocks the **** out of Bradford or Eli, he spreads his arms and yells, "Are you not entertained?"

He (Hardy) will bring us violence and death and we will love him for it. :p

There are many things wrong with this post. But it's rich that it comes from a guy whose avatar includes a picture of Harvey Martin. You may need to do some research here.

Obviously this is a fundamentally good person full of remorse who deserves a second chance. .

can't figure out if this post is sarcastic or serious. If it is sarcastic, consider these words as me 'liking' this post.

Understood. It's all good bro. We're all Cowboy fans in here. Just some people view it differently than others. The people who doubt the "victim" and think it was a money grab will not dislike him and other's like yourself will think he is a bad person. And that is fine. We all can't think alike.

One thing for sure though... if he does it again, everyone will be lining up behind you. If he stays clean and signs a new contract in Dallas and is a pro bowl player, then everyone will be lining up behind me. Either way, you and I want the same thing for the team.

Well, considering that Hardy's tweet had zero to do with apologizing or any remorse, then I'd say his post had to be sarcastic... or the good Mr. KB has a learning disability.

The signing of Greg Hardy has been controversial for the Dallas Cowboys.

While the organization clearly believes in second chances, many have asked do the Cowboys have any 'moral obligations' when it comes to signing players?

Hardy remains on the commissioner's exempt list after being found guilty of misdemeanor domestic violence only to have the charges dropped on appeals after the accuser failed to show up for the trial.

Last week, the Cowboys officially signed Hardy to a one-year contract worth up to $13.1 million. Many have been critical of the move, including local media and the mayor of Dallas.

But Hardy doesn't seem fazed by the negative attention. The defensive end took to social media Monday to post a message to all the naysayers. The original Instagram post has since been deleted, but Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News transcribed it as follows:

"I don't Care If U Like Me, I Like Me and God knows all so I pray he Blesses America, The Cowboys and no place else #happy to have an opportunity #WorkLikeUAlwaysDo#Harder#Hardy#sackscoming#goodmorning all real Kraken fans I love u guys."

when there is a bonafied "moral obligation" to be aware of, i will worry. until then, speculation, gossip and the wildfire spread of 10,000 different versions of the same story is hardly enough to call him all that people think he is. i'm so sick and tired of people trying to be a "moral compass" in a freaking game. after putting the hype and ******** down, i just can't find enough that he did that has been proven BY RELIABLE RESOURCES to continue to make him pay for crimes society said he did.

not that he really did.

so i don't care if people don't like him either. they're busy reading headlines and trying to get into war and peace conversations with that knowledge.

KB really doesn't like the guy. He's been very consistent with his stance so I would bet decent money that he was dead serious in his sarcasm.

“For the past several months, the alleged victim, Nicole Holder, has made herself completely unavailable to the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office for the purpose of preparing for trial, and the State has been unable to locate her for the purpose of serving her with a subpoena, which would have compelled her to appear for the scheduled trial of Mr. Hardy,” reads the release from Murray’s office. “The victim appears to have intentionally made herself unavailable to the State.”
The DA’s release also stated that the civil settlement reached between Hardy and Holder “was directly related to the events that occurred at the residence of Mr. Hardy on May 13, 2014, which led to these criminal charges.”

This had nothing to do with lack of evidence the women did not beat herself up. She took the money and left. Without her testimony the DA hands were tied. If you want to cheer for the scum bag be my guest not shocking in today’s culture that a game if more important than anything else. Fricken sallow

i guess i'm one of the ones who really doesn't give a damn about it.

it doesn't matter who's side you pick, the big mean nasty football player, or the drug coma'd woman out for a quick $$$.

on one hand, i agree. people will follow hardy to see if he does this again, or even before.

why won't the same people do the same to the woman? did she do this before? will she do it again?

oh yea, the interest is the player, not facts.

I think it was a money grab on her part as well but does not change the simple fact he beat a woman, sorry I think that is about as low as a man can get. If others choose to buy his jersey and cheer for him fine that is their right to do so. Myself I think the man is scum.

she was showing up just fine until a jury trial was requested.

that's when she went MIA.

During Hardy's initial trial over the summer, there was doubt that Holder would take the stand. She ultimately showed up and testified. But after Hardy appealed for a jury trial, the prosecution lost contact with Holder.

now, my experience here is tv dramas and bad movies, i'm sure. but if she testifies, would she be cross examined and her history called into testimony?

sad part is had he signed with Washington the vast majority would be calling him scum but because he now plays on the team they pull for that somehow makes it alright.

You've been selective in choosing your sources. Try this one:

Victims and witnesses routinely stop cooperating in domestic-abuse cases and prosecutors still take the cases to court. [District Attorney] Murray, though, said the Hardy case was different. He also appeared to raise doubts about Holder’s credibility in a statement to the judge.

maybe. but again i don't buy into the stereotypes and hype.

would i have gone to look it up if he wasn't becoming a cowboy? no. but i'd also not go running off my mouth at what a horrible person he is based off media reports.

the same media reports we whine at all the time for being self-serving, hit getting, and hate mongering. yea that media.

some people pick the strangest times to take them as gospel.

I don't care of his reason I don't care for men who beat on women and that is one thing he did. I'm not painting her as some loving or caring woman but she sure as hell did not beat herself up. For those who choose to stand behind Hardy good for them I tend not to have much respect for a man who beats up women, I'm funny that way. I don't look at a man and say well gosh he can play football therefore what he does on his time is really not important.
