Pick One-Pick 1-Pick # 27

Hard call. I'd take C even though I don't think the front office would, and I believe they would go D.

With C, we almost finalize our DL except for rotating ends. Thus making our secondary better. I expect P.J to drop a round now and be available later than expected too, which could be an easy snag. If I went DT in the 1st I would hit CB in the 3rd round

I have to disagree. Brown unlike a top rated DT like a Eddie Goldman has the ability to be very disruptive in pass rush even when being double team. add in that he can really boost run D and play 3 tech at times. I don't think our front office even looks to see who else is on the board if he is sitting there.

Brown, if those are the choices...he is a mid teens guy in my mind and would HAVE to be BPA at #27

i think we will have another shariff floyd situation on our hands with brown because i believe there will be a run on WRs and CBs and he is going to drop to 27,i will not be surprised one bit if we pass on him too going by Marinelli's theory.

this theory drives me nuts.
if you can significantly upgrade the position at 27 then you do it, otherwise you end up trotting out the dross we have at the 1 tech into the field

Difference is I think Brown can be a 1 tech who offers some pass rush and could possibly also play some 3 tech.

Don't know if they see it that way or not.

But I think he would be the highest rated player on the board of the ones mentioned.

Dupree and Brown are close but the DE pass rusher as we well know with Hardy is a more valuable position. Time to climb back to reality and decide between some of the more realistic talent, Johnson falling could happen if we do not experience anymore earthquakes in dallas before the end of the month. Byron Jones CB might be a nice consolation prize with his speed and talent just spit balling with three weeks left till the draft.
More than likely our choices will be Preston Smith, OO, Jalen Collins, PJ Williams, Jordan Philips, Xavier Cooper, Marcus Peters...

Good list.
I'd be happy with several of them.
I guess my order of preference is

Dupree
Brown
Johnson
Gordon
Erving

Dupree then Brown.

Teams are built on the line (offense and defense), and you can never have enough pass rushers. Besides, we don't know how long Hardy will be suspended. If it's for six games, we're going to need to work someone in the pass rush rotation. Dupree has the size and speed to rush the passer, even if he needs a bit of refining. I'm surprised Gurley is not on the list. I think he's better than Gordon, but Gordon will likely go first because of Gurley's injury status.

Tough call between Bud and Brown....Hard to pass on a pass on an edge rusher with elite talents though. Brown would hardly be a bad consolation prize though.

I have no problem with anyone choosing Dupree.

However I will ask this...do people think Dupree is the real deal or Brown is the real deal.

If both were to become ProBowl or All Pro players than you could argue that Dupree is who should be taken.

In other words if all things were equal you would take the pass rushing DE over the DT who might also be a pass rusher.

However, I personally think Brown will be the better player so I choose Brown over Dupree.
