Hard to argue. Witten also reminds me a great deal like Troy. He was the guy the team lined up behind and the guy who held everyone accountable. I think Witten is that guy on this team. Again...just my opinion.

Good point. You really see those two as both the voice and passion? For me Lee would be the voice as he understands assignments and is a leader. I think Church would be right up there regarding heart. He plays all out all the time regadless of his talent level. You never hear from him much he just shows up and lights you up. Last year RoMac brought that passion this team has not seen since the days of Haley.

Church would be consideration for the voice for me. Scandrick and Wilcox look to be the most passionate players on defense though. Hopefully we have some more players to choose from this time next year .

Heart and Soul is Tony Romo. It's been that way for a long, long, long time and if you ever needed to know that all you have to do is remember back to when he got hurt against the Giants and the way the team, outside of Dez, absolutely quit.

Dez is our passion, without question, but heart and soul is Romo and there is no close second.

I believe that would be the heart.

We saw it in the intensity of his play, his productivity, his communication with his teammates and in his contribution to the success of others.

DeMarco Murray suffered through two seasons of an intense rebuilding process along the offensive line. In his 2nd year he lined up behind five linemen that had never played their particular position for the Dallas Cowboys. They didn't know the guy they were playing next to.

And yet, DeMarco Murray averaged 4.8 yards a carry in those first two years.

The Cowboys were 20-2 anytime Murray carried the ball 20 or more times. They were 5-16 when he carried the ball 10 to 19 times. He received lesser carries in those games despite the fact that he averaged 4.6 yards a carry under those circumstances.

If the heart is seen as the body's engine, then Murray was certainly that for the Cowboys.

The heart of this team is Ro McClain. He singlehandedly changed the culture of our defense and made it one to fear and not laugh at. The heart of our offense now resides in Philly and has passed that torch to Dez.

I would wager Murray will be closer to half of 1845 than 1845 next season.
