Lance Dunbar coming back

Murray couldn't stay on the field either, until last year.

He might not get through TC, but there's no reason throw him out yet.

He is not Murray nothing more than a scat back. Just not a big fan esp with DMC on the team now.

Dunbar = Dumb Move IMO...can't stay on the field and when you get down to it brings nothing to the table.

It isn't a guaranteed deal. So pretty much we can a) pay him the whole amount, b) cut him, or c) force him to take a paycut or be released. Who knows, we may even be able to flip him for a 7th if he has a strong preseason but no real role on the team.

The only dumb move here would be not bringing him back at all.

I wouldn't be surprised if the boys trade randle during the draft... from a talent standpoint, I wouldn't be happy, but he's put himself in that position because of his off the feild problems.

Why would someone want to trade for a troubled player when faced with a deep RB class in the draft?

This board might melt down when we get to the draft and don't draft a RB!

This guy was electrifying when he had the ball in his hands from a screen pass. Funny because he had 3 TDs from screens all called back for holding.

He needs to become a better running back if he wants more opportunities.

I will be shocked if he makes the roster.

How? Because now we have an oft-injured RB who hasn't had a good season in years?

That appears to be the plan. I am with ya regarding DMC but if he stays there is no need for Dunbar. In a perfect world one of them has to go.

I think Dunbar wasn't used as much last year partially because the Dallas offense was a machine at times. They just didn't need him. Murray hardly came off the field even on third down, probably because of his blocking ability. And when he did, Randall spelled him. Dunbar was great in the game he blew his knee out.

Why all the Dunbar hate/sarcasm?

Dude had limited opportunities last year but still had some good plays where he showed ability.

He could also take over as return man now that Dwayne is gone.

I'm glad we signed Dunbar. He is good for 5-10 touches a game. Last year with Murray taking nearly the full workload, we didn't need guys like Dunbar as much. I'd like to see some combination of 3 players: our 2015 3rd or 4th round draft pick sharing the primary load with one of Randle/Williams/maybe McFadden (whoever wins the role), combined with Dunbar 5-10 touches as a speed element of the bench. Dunbar must improve his blocking IMO.
