Former New England Patriots tight end and convicted murderer Aaron Hernandez has quickly made himself at home in lockup — settling into his cell, making new friends, joining the Bloods and participating in gang-related prison fights.
On Monday night, several law enforcement sources are reporting, he was shipped off to Special Management Unit of the MCI-Shirley Souza-Baronowski Correctional Facility after he was allegedly involved in an attack on another inmate.
"It was two-on-one, he was part of the two," said one prison official, who spoke to ABC News on the condition of anonymity
. Another second source said the inmate was beaten in his cell and that it appeared "gang-related."
When the former NFL star, who is currently serving a life sentence without parole for the murder of his friend Odin Lloyd, was taken by the prison guards to his segregation unit, they found that he had received a new tattoo that references the Bloods gang.
