Hardy Suspension Reduced to 4 games *Merge*

Better than expected. Thought it would of been 6 minimum.

If he wanted to fight it, he could file for an injunction staying his suspension pending the results of the court case. It would likely be granted.

I know, which makes it worse in my opinion. It just drags everything out. What if in the end he loses his appeal and that decision is made with 3 or 4 games left in the season? Instead of missing the beginning of the season he would be missing the typically more critical end of the season. That is a risk and something to consider.

Wowwww I'm so amped we actually had something go our way. I thought for sure it wouldn't reduced less than 8. This is big news for our season. Ro and Greg back at the same time. Big news.

No question.

I think he takes this suspension and lives with it.

Smart move by the league. Will be interesting to see if they litigate anyway. I could see not litigating. Arguably this would be 2 games for the violation (as is under the old policy) and 2 games for the alleged lack of cooperation in the league's investigation.

Four games is nice, but two games is better.

I suspect, however, that he's exhausted by this whole process and will probably just move on.

As an aside, I'd be shocked if Brady's suspension is not reduced now.

assuming he accepts the 4 games, just looking at the schedule:

Giants @ home = divisional game, giants always play us pretty tough at home. Push
@ Philly = another divisional game, stomped them last year in Philly, don't see why we can't do it again.. plus I think Chip Kelly is a farce. Win
Falcons @ home = Win
@ Saints = Loss

I'll take 2-2, possibly 3-1 depending on the Giants game with no Hardy and no McClain

I actually think we're favored in every game and wouldn't be surprised if we came out 4-0.

We should win all 4 but division games are unpredictable.

WAR!!!! TWO GAMES OR DIE!!!

I'm under the impression that the NFL doesn't have the right to suspend him more than two games due to to when the infraction occurred vs when the rule was changed that allowed for more than two games.

FIGHT!
That's FAT.

You know...I think our DL is still upgraded even without Hardy. You could argue our LB core will be better than last years as well even without McClain. The team did such a good job of getting depth at these two positions.

Yeah we aren't losing at the Saints. This isn't that Saints team anymore.
