I didn't say it was my thought process.

But I can see it happening simply because of the dumpster fire at running back.

I do not think it will take much to abandon the run after it is not effective.

Same offensive line. Better, actually. The holes will be there. I can't see it being a case of becoming a heavily pass first offense.

If this does happen, this past offseason was an epic fail.

He is slow for a DE and not very athletic. However, he's really quick and agile for a DT.

Perhaps that's why they want him there. Just speculation.

How much worse off would they be if he pushed a current backup QB off the roster. Answer: not very.

What is curious is that since something funny being said is less funny if explained... shouldn't it be if something not funny is said... not explaining it make it somehow more funny?

Just because the holes are there does not mean the trash running the ball can see them and make the most of them.

That is why the arrogance about the OL just amazes me.

It is one thing to think that Murray is not that great, but it is another to just deny any role he had in rolling up a team record for rushing yards in a season.

Seems ridiculous to say on face value. Rookie UDFA and not even a traditional QB prospect to boot, but I think you're correct. That's how bad our backup QBs are.

Could he win that job on the depth chart this season? No. But could he actually out play either Weeden or Vaughn in a game this year? I wouldn't rule it out. You can actually smell Weeden through the TV.

Right now- who cares who the #2 is? They all stink and our season is sunk if #9 goes down for an extended period of time.
I truly hope this vaunted OL can pick it up in the pass protection department this year.


Edit: And nobody on this roster right now is worth developing into a future starter for this team.
