Dez at $45MM guaranteed (if that's what the final number is) isn't looking like a bad deal.

Dez's deal was much better for the Cowboys than for Dez. But he got a lot in the first two years and gets another contract in his early 30s.

31 years old right.

Could probably still get a top 10, top 15 WR contract then. Maybe even top 5

Unbelievable, having Andrew Luck kinda clouds the fact that the Colts front office is completely incompetent.

Hilton is a good WR, but he's only had one great season out of three. But eh, not my money and not my favorite team. Good for Hilton.

I was thinking the same thing. I think Grigson is taking that team off the rails. He traded a #1 pick for Trent Richardson, and has followed that up with a crazy free agent spending spree this year. And looming on the horizon, the biggest player contract in NFL history.

The Colts' cap will be in shambles in about two years, and they'll be fondly remembering the 'good old days' when they were paying Peyton Manning $26 million.

How will the Colts cap be in shambles in two years? According to Over the Cap, they are fine in cap space through 2017.

And their free agents spending spree this offseason can have little effect at all on the 2017 cap. Andre Johnson can be cut in 2017 with no dead money, same with Gore. Trent Cole comes off the books in 2016.

Hilton's deal changes the math a bit and Luck certainly will change the math a lot, but they don't seem to be in any trouble of being a cap disaster any time soon.

The crazy thing is, they'll probably still find a way to the Super Bowl and maybe even win it. The AFC is a total crapfest outside of the usual contenders, and they'll get lucky against the Patriots eventually. So, the front office will still be praised while being terrible.

We'll see, but in my opinion, that team still lacks the toughness where it counts to stand up against the truly elite.

And if we see 'em in the Super Bowl, I like our chances!

I can't believe i slightly feared the Colts last year going into the game. Outside of the Seahawks game, us going in and demolishing the Colts while clinching a playoff spot was my favorite game last year.

Yeah, I couldn't believe the magnitude of that beatdown. And I continue to find it funny that between that one, and the one the Cheatriots gave them that they get as much love as they do.

Don't forget the Colts/Steelers game where Ben threw 6 TDs

Because everyone thought the after Peyton Colts were gonna stink for years to come.

And they have the new NFL darling in Luck.............

861 yards as rookie, 1083 in 2013, and 1345 last year (15 games). Those are pretty good numbers. Not that different than Dez's first 3 years in the league.

He's a niche player. A Desean JAckson type. Guys like that are not worth big dollars imo even though they make for some fantastic ESPN highlights.
