An excellent watch and I got one for scuba diving, needed a good one for the instructor class. I went for sea-green :)

I have always liked the two tone look. Between those two I think the blue face makes it pop better.

This one is really popular right now...haven't seen it in person yet but looks beautiful

I like the blue. I have the blue Breitling SuperOcean. I love it.

If you are looking at Rolex, might be in your best interests to check out IWC.

That the 42?

It's the SuperOcean A17360. I got it back in 2006 for Christmas from my now ex-wife. They don't make this model anymore. (You can only buy used ones now) The government used to issue them to Navy Seals. I think they use a different model now.

Here is a better image of the face

This thread is like porn for me. I love watches.

Unfortunately, all of the watches that I own are nowhere near that quality. I do have several Fossil, Diesel, Penguin, etc. watches in that lower tier luxury category.

I can't wait to finish college.... ;)

Edit: Back to why I made this post (I got carried away), the blue face in the OP and that Breitling are gorgeous.

Movado makes some nice mid entry luxury Swiss watches...

I can't afford those high end watches....got me a citizen 5+ years ago and have not had a problem with it nor ever have to change batteries.

Far from a Movado or Rolex...but still a step up from a timex.

I used to never wear watches, but I did have a pocket watch for a long time. (mother bought it for me for my 16th birthday) I stopped carrying that once I got a cell phone since it had the time. I generally don't wear any type of jewelry, but when I got this watch that all changed. Now I wear a watch at all times.

I would have never spent this much on a watch, the only reason I have it is because my ex bought it for me as a Christmas gift.

Citizen makes a fine watch. Love the Eco-Drive line.

Because of Eli? :muttley:

I can think of a whole lot better things to do with 6 + grand even if it is just giving it to charity. I just can't see spending that much on a watch. Heck with everyone having a cell phone with clocks these days, a watch is just a piece of jewelery.

I don't sink a whole lot into watches, but people have their hobbies... I collect Cowboys memorabilia...

Others do watches, cars, shoes, etc...

Do you have any Cowboy memorabilia that set you back 6+ grand??? This is America and people have freedom of choice but $6000+ watches just seem like a waste of money when there are so many people who could be helped with that money. I am not trying to start a debate or get political but I just think a lot different than the OP when it comes to money. I have a REAL good job and make a lot of it but I would not waste it on a piece of jewelry except maybe a wedding ring. Twenty two+ years ago when I bought a wedding ring I may have spent that much in today's money but that was a symbol for a forever relationship which that "forever" has lasted almost 23 years and I do not see it ending anytime soon but that means a lot more than a watch. To each their own but I would feel guilty. Heck, I even drive a really old vehicle with a lot of miles even though I could afford much more because I feel guilty splurging on myself. I would rather give to people who need it which is why I believe I was BLESSED with it in the first place. I could say a whole lot more but would be in danger of overstepping the forum religious guidelines.

My daily is a Speedmaster triple date. I like the Submariner but it is heavy. I just sold my Citizen Aqualand @BrAinPaiNt. I put that in a box and would pull it out once a year and it was still keeping time. Great watches.

I like the IWC @ABQCOWBOY, too.

I don't spend a lot on diving watches anymore since I tend to lose them unless they have a non-metal band.

I like the Casio watch for sailing for diving. It will do depth and temp up to a point and it has a lot of functions except you can't log a dive on it.
