I do not like losing Edwards.

I don't either, McCray and Dunbar have less talent but are here for special teams. Ryan Russell has more upside though, so even though Edwards is ahead of him on the depth chart he loses out because he is 5th on the depth chart (including Hardy). This probably means Jack Crawford will take reps at LDE and 3T until Hardy returns.

Same can be said for DeMarco but way too many people wanted him back.

It wasn't as much as everybody wanting Murray back, it was being told that a Raider castoff and a guy busted for stealing underwear were more than enough to replace him.

That is what most of us didn't agree with and it appears the front office didn't think it was adequate either.

You know if I'm Seattle I think I would rather have waived him than send a potential solid piece to a conference rival. That's the only thing that gives me pause . Love all I know about this kid so far though

I just wonder why we went so deep at DT and have basically one reserve end at this point without Hardy.

I realize that Coleman and Bishop earned their way on the team, but so did Edwards.

Did Dunbar?

Yes

In other ways...

Since when is a chip block a sign of a guy being a good pass protector?

Cute.

It plays into pass pro as a whole. Whether you are working blitz pickup outright, or chipping and becoming an outlet. It's all contributing to pass pro. That said, when a chip block is vuolent enough to put a guy out of the game (as that one did), I won't ever question the relevance of it in pass pro. The guys does it all. Period. Keep being cute though. It's amusing.

you think the coaches in Dallas will be able to force the guy to break his bad habits of using his hand wrong to run with the ball? the coaches out in Seattle couldn't force him to break his bad habits of wrongly using his hands to protect the football while running which led to a lot of fumbles.

The main beef seems to be that he does not shift the ball to his left hand, he keeps it in his right hand.
About the fumbles, he had 3 in 3 years of PS games so that is nothing, he had 1 in regular games which was not lost.

I dont think it would be smart to make him shift the ball , unless it proves to be a issue in games.
I dont think he has fumble issues, but really no way to know that unless he plays more.
In Seattle he never played on regular basis, or even at all, it was mainly turbin and lynch.

The more I read about him, it seems like this could be a real steal.
I think Seattle was stupid to let him come to Dallas in current scenario, since Dallas is a contender they will have to maybe play in playoffs.
They could have just given Dallas the missing piece they needed. Not too smart.

Are we keeping 4 RBs now (5 if you count Clutts)? Also why was he sort of a failure I'm Seattle... yea there is the Lynch thing but... still 51 career carries and them being willing to trade him for basically nothing seems bad

It does, but when you consider what we traded I'd say the risk is worth the potential reward. If he doesn't work out it's no big deal. Especially because it seems to be a conditional 7th. If he doesn't work out there is a chance he won't even cost us anything except a roster spot.
