I have to laugh at Todd Archer's season predictions. He picks Dallas to lose to every good team they face.

New England loss
Seattle loss
at Green Bay loss (Losing Nelson won't make any difference)

I guess he hasn't paid attention to the Boys going 8-1 on the road in their division the last few years.

Some Cowboys fans expect us to lose to all of the good teams too. I figure we'll win some and lose some against top competition.
And like every year, we'll lose a game or two against a subpar opponent.

Those game by game predictions are usually stupid, because writers never pick any so-called "upsets" that happen negatively or positively. For instance, Dallas beating Seattle on the road and losing to Washington at home last year. Cowboys will win a game or two they should lose and lose a game or two they should win.

He also has them losing what is probably the three hardest games after those (at Bills, at Eagles and at Dolphins). I wouldn't bet a lot of money that even Tampa Bay would go winless in their 6 toughest games, much less a legitimate contender like Dallas.

If anything given our history we always seemed to play better against better teams, minus in division games, but would lose to teams that we absolutely should have beat.

If you talk about beating good teams to people they immediately shoot you down for being a homer and to stop sipping the kool aid.

Then you have to remind them we did go and beat Seattle in their house when everyone thought we didn't have a chance

I'm glad we're getting the hate again. Will motivate this team even more.

Well, it should. Let's just hope that we've turned the corner and do what we need to do.

Heck, so long as we beat the teams that we're supposed to beat and even split with the good teams then we'll be in good shape at the end of the season.

Eh, it's just his opinion. Those are three tough teams, and the games can go either way.

Personally, I think we go 2-1 versus those teams.

Haven't you guys heard? On paper, we are -

Better on DL
Better on OL
Better at LB
Better at WR(?)
Better in the Secondary (?)
QB coming off career year
3 1st round picks jazz

But we lost a RB, so that offsets any improvements we made, no matter how big of improvements they are.

He's a pessimist like most Cowboys "fans". And just think...everybody is 0-0. Imagine that:rolleyes:

meh i just look at those predictions as entertainment. as some have said i prefer them being tougher on us and not putting us on a pedestal.

you want to laugh take a look at the Cardinals' one, that writer gave predictions for them where he acted like it was pulling teeth to search for reasons why they would lose any games at all, haha.

The lazy pessimist way.

Pick them to lose to anybody that is good, and then find ways they could possibly lose each of the other games.

Guess what, Todd. Dallas isn't losing to Seattle, New England, Green Bay, and Philly. They'll go 2-2 at least.

This is a 10-6 team easy, an 11-5 team very likely, and a 12-4 team quite possibly.
