Time to move on to Saints game, 24 hour rule

Well, not 24 hours yet. But time to focus on the Saints.
Not really responding to anything on the Atlanta game, as it does no good at this point anyway. Especially about players and coaches.
A lot went right in the first half, except a few things, and everything went wrong in the second half.
Not going to blame anyone but the TEAM itself. Atlanta is good, we now know that, well we knew it, but didn't accept it.

I am fairly sure Weeden will get the start, but I am not opposed to go ahead and start Cassell. I prefer it actually.
The OL seemed to get some of their issues sorted out, but offense too vanilla in second half, they figured it out. Defense got gassed. one more game, then we get help there.

Saints may be without Brees, but if we can't get a pass rush on McCown, will it matter. I sure hope Mincey is back. Doesn't matter that it's a Rob Ryan defense, if our WR's can't get open, it will be another dink and dunk, check down offense....and that will only lead to check mate, again.

One can say this is a must win game. I am not sure of that, but a win will mean a lot going forward the next 6 games. Get a win, then find out about our pass rush help against NE. Then Dez returns. See how that helps the offense then.
 
You can tell from the amount of vitriol in the threads that we're not quite ready to move onto the Saints yet. We've worked our way through the first round of QB hate and are on to blaming the coaching. Next it's Jerry, and then another round of QB hate, then consensus, and then on to the Saints where by Thursday it'll be a foregone conclusion that we'll win it and we can start talking about New England.
 
I watched almost 3 full quarters yesterday of the Panthers/Saints. McCown looked pretty good. Defense needs to step up.

We still have a couple of hours to moan and carry on, then we go marching on to the Saints. :)

This!! I'm still butt hurt on our coaching. Will work over JJ next and Weed tomorrow. Hope to be through my rants by Thursday. Friday will be in prayer that Brees takes another week off.
Sunday yelling at the tube. The great life of a DC fan.

I feel very confident we will rebound nicely vs New Orleans. Then we will get humbled again by New England before heading into the bye week 3-2 (still 2-0 in the division which is hugely important) looking to get a few of our defensive horses back for that next monumental division matchup against the gnats.
 
I'm already over yesterday, but I tell you this, if we lose to a bad Saints team next week, We are pretty much done. If we can't beat them, I don't see a win on the schedule until Tony gets back.

We get back Gregory, Mincey, RoMac, and possible Dez. You don't see a win at NYG, SEA, PHL, TB, or MIA?

Which is funny because no one had us even winning yesterday. Now that we lost its Jerry's fault, Garrett can't call plays, our running backs suck and our defense sucks. Yet we're 2-1.
 
All you can do is move on but until game time Sunday we don't know what adjustments we are going to make. It is what it is. I am hoping we can finish games strong but my faith is wavering especially knowing Weeden is back there.
 
I wasn't upset yesterday. Weeden did better than I had expected him too and the defense just didn't bother to show up.

I didn't have a lot of faith for us to win much, if at all, with Weeden anyway so at least for a while yesterday it seemed like we had a shot anyway.

I was onto the Saints the moment the game ended.
 
Luckily none of us have to game plan or focus on NO. We can rue, complain, argue, cry and troll until Sunday.
 
NO will crowd the LOS and wont sit back for a half like Atlanta. Could be an ugly game to watch...
 
In fairness we have not reached the 24 hour mark. lol The team is likely watching film right now.
