Without any reliable pass rush yet, with Sean Lee banged up, Rolando McClain barely coming back. How will our defense handle Brady and his star TE Rob Gronkowski?

At least try to disrupt him off the line so we have a chance to get to brady to throw off his timing. He's not used to getting hit, so we don't need to necessarily sack him, just rough him up, but watch out " golden boy" will get a flag if the air around him is disturbed by an oncoming rusher. :):)

Go all "The Last Boy Scout" on his arse. Only way I see them stopping him.

Yep bump and reroute him off the line, and more importantly pressure the smug one. Which of course will lead to several personal fouls against us. Prima Donna that he is I hope we knock his you know what in the dirt.

You can't stop him the key is to try to slow him down. Make them work for everything.

Spike his water bucket with booze. By the second half he'll be dancing with the cheerleaders.

The Cowboys will try to stop him, but they won't. The only way to control Gronk is to get to Brady which is an exceedingly difficult thing to do.

Back 7 communication. He has been uncovered multiple times this season due to the defense being unprepared for Patriots offensive nonsense. Other than that, bracket, chip, play with pressure fronts to force Brady to keep him in protection. I'm willing to live or die with Mo singled on Edelman. I'd like to see Lee shadow Lewis out of the backfield all day like he did Murray.

Great opportunity for Byron Jones to step up and make a name for himself. Looking at the 1st 4 games TE have not made a big impact on the games, granted none of these TE were the caliber of Gronk. Outside of Gronk much of NE passing game is shorter passes, DL if you can't get to Brady then get your hands up tip balls are a great way to create chances for TO

It'll be a huge task. He'll be doubled.
But there should be a bit more pressure with hardy in the mix, and both McClain and Lee cover TEs well (to go along with the Safeties).

Main 2 weapons Julian Edelman and Gronk. They account for most of the Pats offense.

They can stop him. But then Dion Lewis and Edleman will have a field day. With how often the defense will be on the field I just cant see good things happening in this game defensively.
