How will the Cowboys Defense stop TE Rob Gronkowski?

They can stop him. But then Dion Lewis and Edleman will have a field day. With how often the defense will be on the field I just cant see good things happening in this game defensively.

Part of getting off the field is actually making plays. Dallas defense last season was 2nd in the NFL in getting turnovers we have 3 thus far and down towards the bottom.

By throat punching him.

Poke him in the eye, I accidentally did that once to an all-state TE I had man to man all day on. First play of the game, he was blocking me on a run play and I pushed him away I accidentally poked him in the eye, had eye black all over my fingers. He went down, eventually came back in but didn't catch a pass against me all day. Serve the Cheatriots right!

The gameplan will work, but Brady will wait for a moment when things are in disarray, and then quickly fire. TD Gronk.

I agree, people say Dallas is predictable yet so is NE. There is nothing they are doing and the plays they run that come as a surprise. Same old routs over and over by NE

Easy. Double team Gronk, double team Brady, double team their other receiver and double team their RB. Oh, wait. . . no, nevermind.

I was hoping with those 2 openings they had on the roster they would add you and Corso. I think you 2 guys could double team Gronk and shut him down !!!

Right...just like the 90's Cowboys but, no one could stop them then and no one can stop Brady and the Patriots now.
Just a fact!!!

Granted it is about execution not deception. NE does very few things to beat themselves. Dallas has to find ways to create turnover in the same and limit yards after catch. When Brady is dropping into 5 step to 7 step drops we have to get pressure on him.

Without any reliable pass rush yet, with Sean Lee banged up, Rolando McClain barely coming back. How will our defense handle Brady and his star TE Rob Gronkowski?

Brady - Get after him early and often. If you can disrupt his confidence in his line and timing with his receivers, he is beatable.

Gronk - Will require a team effort, much like Brady. They will likely run box coverages in attempt to take him away, much like I expect the Patriots to do to Witten. That said, like Witten, despite the Cowboys efforts, Gronk will get his touches, which means our defense has to execute sound tackling to ensure the damage he is able to do is at the very least limited.

You are right on. Our problem is that we know what we need to do but, we haven't been able to do it against lesser teams and
most likely won't be able to do it against the World Champions. I see embarrassment coming this weekend I'm sad to say.

If Cowboys were to continue to play like they have. I expect more out of this team and this defense especially with Hardy, MClain and likely Lee back in the lineup. Sure as heck do not want to get into high scoring game, defense has to keep this game in reach.

If you want to stop Gronk or contain him you have to put pressure on Brady. If you can't disrupt Brady's timing Gronk will have a big day.

We will. A bump at the line, Byron step for step and either Lee or McClain drops back underneath, and we'll win. We always do in situations like these.
