Jason Garrett may be a good administrator, he may run good practices and seek the right guys, although Hardy and some of the others hardly qualify. But, he has proven to be a terrible motivator, creator and on the field coach. His game plans are awful, he never adjusts and he makes calls and decisions that defy logic. Going for the field goal yesterday while on the Pats' two yard line was foolish. The offense could never make three more scores, adding the field goal made no sense. Last week we had 12 on the field and the previous game we had only 10 when the two point conversion was made against us. We are undisciplined and confused much of the time. This experiment in futility has to end now. Go out and find a professional coach, give Jason his severance and a pat on the back. Not a bad fellow, just not competent to make a consistent system approach to the NFL like Belicheck does. The Pats have no wide outs that scare anyone, Dion Lewis is a reject and yet they put up 30 against us. How much longer do we have to watch Brandon Weeden look at one receiver, find him covered and then check down to the RB for three yards? It is far better to try and win the game than lose with "dignity" the way that Garrett believes he can justify his continuing role on this team. Mediocrity prevails and will as long as Garrett is the coach.

With Romo and Dez on the field we are probably 4 and 1 and Garrett is everyone's hero. That is not an endorsement of Garret, but Jerry won't pull the plug on his project when he has this many built in excuses not to.

The players look motivated to me. They are not showing signs of being the entitlement that caused Wade to lose the team.

The only thing Garrett could have done on the 10 or 12 men on the field is to call a time out but it's other coaches that are responsible for getting the players in/out of the game.

Linehan calls the plays, not Garrett.

At the point he kicked the field goal, the game was over. The announcers exclaimed that kicking the FG was the right decision.

The biggest thing that you're overlooking is that very few Head Coaches can function with Jerry as the owner. The brash Jimmy/Parcells types are not going to function here for long and Jerry won't hire another on anyway. On the opposite side are the Wade Phillips and Campo types that will never push back on anything that Jerry tells them to do. Garrett is in the middle between the 2 types of coaches and it's hard to imagine getting anything better that would fit the criteria of what can work with Jerry as the owner but it's easy to imagine getting another Wade which would be much worse.

The bottom line is that for fans coaches are bad if the team loses and good if they win regardless of whether the QB and top WR are out.

I still like Garrett. I think the team plays hard for him. I don't think the season is over. More importantly, the team doesn't think the season is over. Garrett will keep them focused and we will win some games to keep us in the conversation, which is about the best we could hope for with this stretch of our schedule and all the injuries. Furthermore, Garrett is not the GM, he doesn't buy the groceries, but he was able to come up with a scheme that looked like it was about to send Lance Dunbar to the Pro Bowl. When I look around the league, Garrett still looks pretty good to me.

Not I...you can search and find it on here where Ive said it several times before. If Jason Garrett wins the superbowl, I want him fired the very next day. It wont be because of him we won.

Well, you would be one of the few. There was a dearth of anti-Garrett rants on here last year when we went 12-4. Of course, we could have gone 12-4 in spite of Garrett. Last year could have been the aberration, but who can dispute that with a healthy Romo and Dez, we have a better record right now and the anti-Garrett sentiment is reduced?

I dont doubt for many that are easily swayed with the winds of change that that would happen.

Not me...Ive watched it all too closely for too long...Romo is the brains of the operation.

I think your wrong about Jerry not hiring a Parcells/Johnson type again. If Garrett failed I think thats the direction he would have went in. Problem is I think there is only one and he isnt leaving NE

Do you remember Jerry's drunken rant to some fans in a bar about Parcells and only getting him because of the Stadium?

The only guy Jerry might consider is Sean Payton because they're friends.

Until Romo got hurt most believed he would be coach of the year this year again. Should have won it last year.

Ya but I don't take anything Drunk Jerry says seriously. If we had been in a perpetual state of 5-11 under Garrett I think he would have blown the whole thing up and went with a strong HC who would have had alot of pull in personel matters. It's not his preference, but he will go that route to keep his team from becoming Oakland.

Jason Garrett is a total and complete joke of a coach. Worst coach in the NFL, bar none.

can we stop with this nonsense every week?
yes it's garrett's fault we lost the last two weeks...if you're a complete and utter moron with no knowledge of football, that statement is true.

Nothing has changed in 8 years with Garrett and this team. Romo is the leader of this team and is the reason we win games. I found it laughable that the Garrett lovers like you would try to play it off like Garrett was the reason for the 12-4 season. Only to listen to @##$% like you deflect fault this year because of injuries.

Garrett did nothing least year. The only thing he did right was get out of the way like Jones finally wanted him to do. There was no "process" that finally started working. There was no "4 year plan" that finally came to fruition. The team finally had a relatively healthy season and they finally found a run game.

LOL.............and howdy doody destroyed the run game in one season. LOL Too funny. Garrett is nothing but a complete clown.

A few big injuries this year and Garrett and the Cowboys are back to irrelevance.

Garrett is horrible. Nothing he does that 80 other coaches couldnt do. And like you say, he does very little around here.

You cant blame Garrett for the disaster this year, just like you cant give him credit for the 12-4 record last year. Anyone with half a brain can see quite clearly that there were 3 big reasons for the great season last year.

1. Health
2. The incredible Run game
3. Tony romo

Garrett isnt even in the top 20, unless your going to say he was great at stepping away from the offense and getting out of the way.
