Does anybody know the latest on Dez Bryant's status. Does it look like he will play next week? Will he be 100%?

Stephen Jones said last week that he might play in the Giants game but that he was almost certain to play the following week.

He worked out on the cords last week. The key is Wednesday practice. If he practices at all on Wednesday, then he'll probably play. If they get to Friday and he has not practiced, then he likely won't play.

I think he suits up and plays more of a decoy in some scenarios. Only good thing is amukamara is out

If he does play, he will be limited to straight run routes, not cutting. With that type of injury, he may be able to runs posts, fly routes, and maybe some slants, but that will be about it. Don't expect a lot of running plays to his side when he's in the game. In fact, you won't see a single one of those.

The fellas at the Cowboys Break don't seem to think he'll play against the Giants, stating that working the cords is not the same as practicing. This is just their opinion, fwiw. I think I agree. The bone may be healed, but he may need another week to get in some conditioning and get in some practice time (especially now that he'll be playing with a QB that he's never caught passes from.

He's been seen on the practice field recently participating in conditioning drills. They're shooting for him to return against the Giants but it's not a guarantee. If not back this week I'd say his return the following week would be "likely", barring any unforeseen setbacks. This is based on what's being reported in the media.

Also remember, the Giants game will mark 6 weeks since the injury occurred, which is in line with the timetable that was initially reported.

Walking without a limp, sideline chords. Have not seen any reports about running, rather light running or at full speed. But that is much different, as we know, than the jumping and landing, and cutting.
However, I am sure all that is being kept, and will be kept from us, as well as the media.
Until he is cleared and is ready to go, I doubt we get a straight answer. Until we see him at practice.

He had surgery 5 weeks ago today. He won't be ready for contact this week, but possibly next week.

So, could possibly be back for Seattle, but more likely Philly.

If that is the case then he should not play. I think Dez will go all out once he is cleared to play I think that is his nature and that will not change. In the end he is either ready or he is not.

Will be almost 6 weeks at game time, short of a day. So yes, Seattle game could be more likely, but Eagles for sure.
Can be cold in NY next week, so may be better, wait to be back home for those 2 games. giving 7 to 8 weeks. Would feel better about that. But if by some miracle he does go this week in NY.
I think there will be a big breath in, and a big sigh of relief out, collectively by Cowboys Nations on every play he would be in.

I dont think its going to happen this week. Fisher just said that he just was able to run a little with his full weight on it. Doubt he would be able to cut and do everything he would need to do in just a week or under.
