I'm not so sure they failed, Bleu. They "hoped" and it didn't come to fruition. Not surprising considering the severity of the injury but having Dez back this week was wishful thinking at best. Jerry got everyone excited and Garrett tempered everyone's expectations. Sounds about par for the course.

Not surprised. but define / clarify "discomfort".
Could be normal healing process. Operation, bone graft, healing time. Then back to putting pressure on it, running, cutting.
Doubt if a set back, but just expected it to be sore. Hopefully it is just that soreness needing to be worked out. Ice it down, get some rest, give it a another go in 2 to 3 days.
