Twitter: Luke Bryan to perform at Cowboys Thanksgiving Game

The new country music is like a bad cartoon skit on the Simpsons. Every song today seems like they're trying to make fun of country music.

Luke is a talented artist I think it's funny how people hate on him and some of the other country singers. Country is the most popular music right now. If you don't like it thats cool, but don't discredit people who have talent. He is actually pretty good live as well.

People are having a hard to grasping the fact that Country music is evolving and it's been brilliant that they have decided to take a bit of the rock under tone. It's allowed Country music to open up into other venues. It's has some great party tunes and I for one dig it.

I also take it some of you have never been to a Country music concert or festival, let me tell you the talent level of the ladies is off the chart! Did the route 99 harvest festival in Vegas and it was out of control! PBR in Vegas is out of control... Stage Coach out of control...Lots of Buckle Bunnies for sure.

Jason Aldean is widely considered one of the best arena singers since Garth Brooks.. I just see a bunch of haters here.

Country has become nothing but a stereotyped cartoon of itself. Every song sounds the same these days, and the lyrics are always the same.

"Got me a beer and a short skirt cruising' in my pickup truck, kickin' booty like a real American on a Friday night football kind of buzz...."

It's nauseating.

The days of Willie, Clint, George, Brooks & Dunn, Garth, Dwight, Tracy......they're long gone.

Ah see you didn't listen to all Country... You are being a typical oh the old days... Listen music evolves you don't have to listen to it. But it is the most popular music in the country, so there are a lot of people who disagree. I have always been a huge fan of George, Alan, Brooks and Dunn, Garth etc... I have many albums, but I also dig the new music and I play it out on the River all the time.

Popular =/= good.

Look, if you like the man's stuff, that's fine. Preferences and all that. But is it really all that hard to understand why someone is critical of Bryan and Aldean? Music wise, I'm not talking performance, but the music. I don't consider all modern country bad, Jamey Johnson's "The Guitar Song" is one of the better country albums I've ever heard, and that was released in 2010. My issue is with the mainstream.

That's a problem with most genres of music, but country is downright terrible in the regard.

That's not evolving. It's devolving.

The lyrics, the chords, the look and sound.....it's all corporate nonsense that a beginning musician could play.

Country music is about telling real stories. Not all country singers used to have the same singing voice. It used to be personal, not canned.

Now it is produced EXACTLY the same as One Direction or N'Sync. It's corporatized and formulaic and spoonfed to the "artists", who are just playing a role. These aren't even country people playing this stuff anymore. They never lived it.

I see others tearing down the Music, so of course I am going to say something positive about the music.

That is your Opinion and you are entitled to it.

Fair enough. I just wish they'd champion the artists still trying to make original and traditional country music. Most of them can't get played unless they sign on to the Nashville machine and play what they're told to.

Same could be said for a lot of genres, I know.

Not every song is like that... I am a huge Eric Church fan and I dig his music... He has some great great music

Never heard of him. Then again, I never listen to country.

Jamey Johnson's "The Guitar Song" topped billboard charts when it was first released in 2010. Give it a listen if you are looking for traditional country music influences.

I will tell you this. Jason Aldean is despised by the big names of traditional country music. They think his stuff is almost as crappy as Big and Rich.
