With 3 games remaining until the return of Romo

This team really needs to find a way to win at minimum 1 game, but most preferably 2 games, the Eagles being an absolute necessity.

To climb back in this we're going to need warrior hearts from Romo and Bryant, but we're also going to need the Saints to beat the Giants on Sunday. We need to win common games, and hope the Giants do not. Right now if we were to tie the Giants, we have the tie breaker because they lost to the Eagles.

We have identical schedules for remaining games, except we have the Packers and they have the Vikings. We have yet to play the Commanders and they still have the Patriots though.

We're allowed to lose to the Seahawks, but we can't lose against Philly or Tampa. Romo will basically need to go 6-1 in his return.

10-6 definitely gets us into the playoffs, 9-7 becomes much riskier, and 8-8 will rely on a complete disaster on the part of both the Giants and the Eagles.

To help us with going 6-1 or 7-0, and to help us take 2 of the next three, I would like to see us bring in some help on offense via a trade, especially at wide receiver. Stunned we didn't do this earlier. Tony Romo hasn't lost a regular season game since November 27th of 2014. He is 6-0 in his last 6 regular season games, and you can make a bit of a homerish argument that he hasn't lost a single regular season game healthy dating back to December 15th 2013. I want to argue that we have a much better team when Romo and Dez return than we've ever had since Romo has been here. I think they can do this. The silver lining thing though is this team is basically going to be in playoff mode as soon as Romo gets back.

Believe it or not though we're not necessarily out of a wildcard birth either. The loser of the NFC South will take one spot, but if this team can win enough games it still has a shot here.

Beating the Seahawks might even help us get the edge in the wildcard race. But I'm all for winning the division first.

Don't get me wrong, winning against the Seahawks would definitely do a lot to dig us out of this hole. Hell if we could win the next three in a row, I'd say we definitely win the division, I'm just saying what needs to happen in basically the worst case scenario.

I think the star are aligned just right to make it happen. A lot of things have to go just right though. Dez and Romo coming back healthy is paramount.

No matter what, you have to be proud of the way this team fights. I just know this team is going to be playing great ball when Romo gets back (he might be a bit rusty) but they will be out of it. At the end of the year The Dallas Cowboys will be a team that no other team wants any part of. It will make this season harder to swallow.

I don't think doing a trade at this point will help. The defense needs to generate turnovers and the offense needs to stop with the stupid penalties. Also Cassel needs to keep his INT's to a minimum. The ST's needs to play better. If those things change, this team is an elite team. They keep this up and they will be getting some high draft picks.

I dont understand why the team put Romo on short term IR. I wonder when he could have been ready to play.

No we don't
This is just tripe teams shell out and blind fans are all too willing to lap it up
This is professional sports and the ONLY objective is to win. Period
The Cowboys under Garrett have been an inconsistent and undisciplined team

There are teams that make the post season almost every year and there is s team that has been to 7 SBs and won 4 since we were even in an NFC CG

So please spare us these platitudes about "playing hard"

at the end of the year there is only one stat that means anything its the wins and loses to many injuries and suspensions and other things derailed the cowboys season you cant just keep losing and expect to make the playoffs and right now they are not a verygood team and I don't know if they will be this year.

The season is over. By the time Romo comes back most will be talking about the offseason and the draft.
That sentiment isn't that dissimilar to what's being said right now and for the past few weeks. The only difference is that the talking will be louder.

True but they didn't have the culture, owner, or hole to dig out of either.
