David Irving is a good player

Those legs have shown some power to move piles for 1st downs.

Color me shocked.

I've always been in his corner cause I thought his gig in Oakland was a farce but I never expected a pile mover out of the guy.

Says the same person who was telling us Cmike was better than McChicken legs

He is.....as are 98% any and all rbs in the nfl. He just never got a full drive.
Actually our best drive of the whole game yesterday is when turbin was in there and it didn't start to stall till McFadden came in

Since they got him off the chiefs practice squad I would assume they have his rights for 4 years. (the end of the 3rd year he would be restricted)

Not sure about that. I don't believe PS are under contracts. Unless once on a teams regular roster, they go by what contract he signed before the season started with the team they were in TC with.
But I believe it is a negotiated new contract.
Who was the player for the cowboys last year, or before that. A team wanted to sign him to a contract, but he declined and stayed on the cowboys PS.

That's not what I said. Practice squad guys usually don't have accrued years.

I saw him chasing the QB down at the end of the game.
Does anyone know how many plays he played yesterday? I'm wondering if he is always around the QB or it just seems that way because that the only time I notice him.

He is a player who should have a future in Dallas. Especially with how we like to rotate so many guys into the game.
I read a chart somewhere this morning that showed he was in for 20 snaps, if I'm not mistaken.

I think you're referring to RB Ryan Williams.

Practice squad guys are FA's at the end of every season...free to sign with anyone.

I need to correct a reply I made earlier regarding the number of snaps played by Irving. I said 20 before, but just ran across the chart again and it was actually 11 snaps that he played. Old age is getting to me, I guess.:)

He's got something. Might be the next Ratliff because I think this guy's got all the tools needed to be a STAR!

I think they are Exclusive rights free agents if they were on the 53 man roster at the end of the season.

You are probably right. I just thought I had heard that they were free to sign anywhere at season's end. I'm old...probably have poor recall. Could be that they're free if not on the 53.
