Dean Blandino is calling Dez catch, not a catch for game last night

thats not the point i am trying to make,, the foot is a body part, dean blandino said any body part has to touch before the elbow, but the foot isnt a body part,

way to much technical, and coming from a person that has never played the game at college or pro football, or was a ref at college or pro football on the field of play, thats the point i am trying to make:

remember dez catch last yr that dean blandino overturned, body parts did touch the ground, before the ball moved, yet blandino overturned the call,

the terminology of ref rulings is way to technical, to nit picky, thats issue i am trying to bring up, by saying this i am trying to show u that dean blandino can at any time make any ruling and change because rulings are so technical, way out of bounds and we all have jeff fisher to thank for this to, he adds and adds stuff, u dont see all the technical stuff like this in the nfl canada ref rules

It wasn't a catch. His elbow hit out of bounds. Yes, had he gotten both feet down in bounds first it would have been a catch. But for it to count he has to either get both feet down or some OTHER body part - like an elbow or knee or whatever.
 
The guy is actually correct. The foot is not a body part; it's a foot. For That to be a catch, both feet had to be down in bounds before the elbow or any other part hit out of bounds. They did not...one foot down with the other foot caught on top...no catch. What he means when he says the foot is not a body part is that if a knee, butt, shoulder, or elbow (body parts) touches in bounds before the elbow touched out of bounds, then it would be a catch because you wouldn't need both feet down....a body part down in bounds counts as two feet down.

He's never ref'd a game on any level from what I've been told. That means Pop Warner, high school, college, semi-pro, etc.

He must be related to somebody.

That's the way I took what he said too
Which means what he said is correct
By body part he means a part that would make you down and your feet don't make you down
I don't care for the guy but in this situation he is correct and the call from replay was correct

But you have to have both feet inbounds for it to be a catch not just one. Dez only had one foot in bounds then his elbow hit out of bounds. Incomplete pass.

For the purposes of the NFL, the foot is not a body part - knees, elbows, wrist, butt. Any one will constitute a catch. For feet, they both need to be down inbounds.
