And who is your guy? The only guy I'd take in this draft is Paxton Lynch. Problem is.....He may not declare...and/or we may not draft high enough. All others...I'd pass.

Listen I like your guy and think he can win some games. I like him as a backup and I'd trust him if Romo went down, but I don't see future franchise QB in him. Especially not at what 27?

Floaty, I have always respected your posts but as Parcells would say "let's not anoint the HOF oil just yet." He was serviceable at least. Made some good decisions as well as some poor ones. Let's see how he does in more games. Still would like to see us draft a qb.

Not bad.

Some ugly.

Some good.

There is no QB situation.

Moore could very well give himself a real look for back up QB next offseason, with what he does the next two games, but that dude isn't going to beat out Tony Romo.

I do feel like he did a nice job tonight, all things considered. At the very least he has earned the last couple of starts to see what he can do.

No I'm banking on a first round talent that is 21-22 years old that has time to develop behind Romo for a year or 2.

I'm not relying on a 26-27 year old backup as the future.

Ehhh that's not really a huge issue. I mean if Romo plays 2-3 more years then Kellen could be 29-30 years old and step in for a handful of years while you looked for another QB.

He wouldn't be a 10+ year starter, most likely, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if he gave 5-6 years after Romo retires.

Still pass...backup but does not have Franchise QB written on him.

Sorry but playing a Rex Ryan team with a QB starting his first NFL game is not a recipe for success. I am sure he's a good guy, but he should not be the starting QB for The Dallas Cowboys.

The Kellen Moore era has begun.

I know the numbers don't look great. He made a couple bad INTs....Locking onto WRs... But for the first time all season...(Including when Romo was healthy)...the offense looked capable of moving the football.

Considering he had limited snaps during the week....Moore made quick decisions. Knew where to go w/ the football.

And maybe most importantly...gave the team a spark....and hope.

I can't see anything but positives going forward. Give Kellen this week to learn from his mistakes....and he will. All things considered....He probably got maybe 30 snaps during the week to get ready...which is nothing. Not bad for a guy getting his first NFL action against a playoff contender that was desperate for a win.

Haters are gonna hate.

But he inspired the team tonight. And for those that can't see that he has the "IT" factor just don't understand football.

He simply doesn't have the talent.
you start by saying
"I know the numbers don't look great" lol are you kidding? He's out of the league in 2 years tops. If we want a high end backup, it's not him.

And I'm fine with that.

I'm not advocating this guy as the second coming or anything. He's earned a shot over the final two weeks, nothing else.

He certainly isn't going to make people long for him over Tony Romo. Well except one goof whose probably been longing for him over Romo since the day he signed to our practice squad.

If he minimizes his weakness by avoiding deep throws in tight spaces or deep throws period he will be all right.

I think its more like the Matt Cassel era has ended. Can't figure out why a guy who was considered as a really smart guy who was accurate turned into a nervous scatter armed QB who plays scared. Doesn't seem to fit the profile at all. He has been flat out awful. I was telling my son after the fastball he threw to Dez when he needed a touch pass that cost us a touchdown that he stunk. Then the throw away interception and then the 20 yard sack that he needed to be pulled. Then he misses a wide open crossing T Williams which was an easy first down.

My son said Garret doesn't have the nads to do that. My son was wrong. It was a decent start, but I think Rex Ryan will be chomping at the bit to send his pass rushers after Moore. At least we will be entertained a bit. PS. He does seem to run the offense better then Cassel does and seems to have far more touch with the short throws the Cassel.

Double PS. I hope we beat the Commanders in the final game of the season. I live in No. Va and my god the fans act like they are best team in the league and they have a losing record. Hope Buffalo lays a beat down on them today in the FedEx cesspool (which is just a nasty place to watch a game).

Safeties will creep up the whole time now they realize Moore can't go deep.

Dallas needs a different kind of backup than most teams because of Romo. When Romo goes down its not for just 2-3 weeks it's for 7-10-season. You have to look at the backup as someone that you would trust as a starter. Moore is not that guy for long term

I'm sure you are right about arm strength, but I went back and watched the last throw and the ball traveled 50 plus yards in the air. How much arm strength does an NFL QB need not to be considered a noodle arm?
