yep see what some of these guys who don't get much playing time have. No need to risk injury and ruin our draft position by playing the starters. The only thing that could make this season a complete failure is drafting in the teens by trying to win pointless games.

This makes sense, but Hardy has incentives to meet. Now some coaches on other teams have been accused of doing this so players would not meet them. Others played them, or had plays ran for players to meet them.

Cowboys were accused of not playing Mincey last year so he couldn't make his bonus. The team said they did not realize that. So which is why Mincey wanted his contract re-negotiated.
They did that, and in good faith to give him his $500,000 bonus in a contract extension. Though I think he is still a FA after this year.
And he rewarded us with, disappearing this season...LOL....not knocking him, but someone would bring that up.

You can reduce snaps to starters, which I'm sure there will be some of that but you just can't sit 8 starters.

#1 you have the incentive thing.

#2 without those key players you're not going to get an effective read on the subs... you have to be judicious with using the 2nd stringers.

Say you sit Martin, Fred-beard, Smith and Dez on offense... how are you going to get a good read on if Moore can play in the NFL?

I think those guys would be upset if they were forced to sit, especially Dez. Besides Romo he finally has a QB that will try to get him the ball. I am sure he wants to end this year on a high note.

Garrett is far from on the hot seat. This season is already over. If Garrett was being judged on performance, Jerry would have let him go a long time ago. Garrett is Jerry's guy and he'll be here no matter how he closes the season. What would he be proving by taking us to 5 and 11 as opposed to 4 and 12? The only thing we'll be doing by trying to win these last couple of games is set the franchise back by ruining our draft position.

Need to stick some other young guys in there as well. Save Sean Lee and play Damien Wilson. Give Green some playing time at RT. Get Gregory as much playing time as possible. Let's see what Turbin can do as the starter; no real reason for McFadden to play and risk injury. Get Butler and Whitehead on the field more as receivers.

Let the vets rest where you can and get game experience for the young pups. I like it.
