Won't help. No rookie or free agent is gonna make our secondary into an actual secondary and our pass rush an actual pass rush.
Neither will a QB win us a Super Bowl in the next 2 years.

Pass rush...bottom. Ints/Turnovers...bottom.
How many free agents can you name the past decade that have made a "significant" impact with the Cowboys? One of their big free agent signings a few years ago was Carr who's been nothing but a liability.
Well I think it's safe to say the result speaks for itself. He surely didn't do much of anything to make himself invaluable.
As it is, the staff will evidently be quite relieved to get rid of him. It was bad enough to render him expendable. Enough said.
A Romo-less offense was responsible for that.

Despite all the speculation about #Cowboys planning to release Greg Hardy or let him become a UFA, team source says, "No final decisions.''
Hardly enough said, it was a one year they can get away from him now without penalty. The deal really makes this more of a kick the tyres scenario that didn't pan out. Took him for a test drive and returned it to the lot. Not their problem going forward. Not a bad decision, more of a mildly poor one.
That is completely expected news.
well we hit huge with dez in the draft but looks like we struck out with Gregory (so far) hopefully if we go on a free agency frenzy we hit gold... if we do then we can turn it around quick especially with a good draft
The only gold the Cowboys ever struck in free agency was with Deion and TO. A lot of teams get screwed in free agency and the Cowboys certainly have over the years most notably by Marcellus Wiley back in 2004. If you want to build a great team you have to do it through the draft. The Cowboys greatest players were players they drafted.
La'roi Glover was a good FA signing. He was just on terrible teams. Marc Columbo was another good one. But outside of those guys, productive free agents are almost non-existent.
When you think of the dozens, or perhaps hundreds of free agents Jerry has signed over the years, that's a pretty pathetic success rate.

We signed a few good ones but the core of your team has to be built through the draft. Top tier free agents are over priced and rarely live up to their contracts. A lot of them seem to lose their motivation once they get their big contract.
I looking for a big leap with David Irving this year. Personally I think he would make a great SDE (Adding some strength in the off season) and move Lawrence back to where he was drafted for, WDE. Ryan Russell is coming off of IR and then let's get a FA pickup, maybe Ware, Mario or another year of Mincey. I'm more concerned with our 1T DT more than any other position on the Dline and maybe if we could get a full year out of Terrell McClain. At the 3T I think we have a pair of Crawfords that will work out okay.
If we don't go QB at #4, let's trade back and pick up a couple of Dbacks, safety and corner, in either order.
that's true. the draft is everything.. but I think there are some guys out there in free agency who can help us, we just have to be careful and if we wanna make one last push with Tony Romo, I say we go for it.
good we need to bring some guys in here who give 100% no more drama. sick of it
We'll see him get 15 sacks elsewhere next season.
