You're the only one making this argument.
One top five season does not make you a top 5 back especially over players who have had multiple top 5 seasons.
By using your same logic, Matthew Stafford has been a top 5 QB since 2011. He is top 5 in yards and touchdowns. He has more yards and touchdowns than other perceived better players because he had an inflated season and those guys missed some time.
Regardless, he is a top 5 player because that top 5 season was so good it puts him ahead of guys that were better every other season in that span, right?
You don't really believe that do you? Stafford a top 5 QB. Homer Lions fans wouldn't even say that.If Stafford is top 5 in yards and TDs then he is a top 5 QB.

I looked at this guy zeke, and he is too small, he gets big holes to run thru, and i dont think his success in college
will be the same in NFL.
The speed will taper off as he gains weight like they all do, and then he will be avg.
he may have good vision, know where to run, but that is hard to tell.
I would rather have a bigger stronger back,David Wilson who the cards got last year is the type we need.
I think Dallas FO is mainly thinking QB and Defense, and really like someone else said we need a good RB to pair with Mcf
and a good # 2 WR, and then just have a awesome offense, and get some FA Defensive guys for immediate impact.
People say RBs are the easiest to find but if you want a good one, you have to take him early just like everyone else.
Of the Top 20 RBs over the last 10 years 17 were drafted in rounds 1-3. Eleven were 1st rounders.
This myth about RBs is strange. They get the ball 30 times a game and a team that wants a strong running game like DAL wants to skimp.
If Stafford is top 5 in yards and TDs then he is a top 5 QB. You proved my argument. percy left it extremely vague as to the criteria. What makes TSmith, TFred or ZMartin top 5? But you accept that ranking blindly because you are a Cowboy fan.
Murray is top 5 in yards, salary, AV points, 900+ yards seasons in the last 5 years and 1000+ yard seasons in the last 5 years.
Murray had 1,000 yards from scrimmage as an Eagle in 2015. When 20 guys do something every year, you don't use that thing as a standard for greatness.Nice dodge.
Not going to try. Because that isn't the best way to determine or judge who are the top 5 QB's in this league. Like I said, ask a Lion fan. Bet you have to search a long time before one puts him up there. Can you name 5 QBs with more passing yards in the last 5 years?
I don't know where you're pulling this "too small" crap from. He's 6'0", 225 lbs. and even at 225 he ran a sub-4.5 40 at the combine. He's the same height as Demarco Murray, 8 lbs. heavier than Demarco, and they tan identical 40 times at their respective combines.
The consensus of all scouting-types is that Elliot is the ONLY RB in this year's draft who is a sure 1st-round draft choice.
First question, at the top of the list...does he compliment a zone blocking scheme or a power blocking scheme?
I hate to be the guy that stirs this pot; but I just saw a tweet doing a Google search on the Cowboys that said a Murray trade for a sixth or seventh round pick is "imminent"; and the Cowboys, Jaguars, and Raiders are the teams trying to get him.
Dallas doesn't have a seventh round pick this year; but have a lot of sixths if they get the compensatory picks expected. So could they trade a sixth; take on Murray's $7 million base salary, and attempt to recapture 2014? (Just a note- cutting Brandon Carr opens $6.8 million; potentially paying for Murray??)
Personally, I'd rather the Cowboys draft a running back; but the tweet supposedly came from two credible sources (which I cannot find).
It would be moronic to trade for that contract. PHI is on the hook for another 9m guaranteed.
Let them cut him or walk away.
I agree, but can't the Cowboys get away with just paying Murray big bucks this year; then tear up that ridiculous Philly contract and give him one that makes more sense? I think there might be an NFLPA rule against this; but if Murray loves Dallas that much he could be willing to renegotiate.
