I am not a Nate Newton fan.He is a twice convicted marijuana smuggler, did time and why we welcome him with open arms I will never understand.I mean seriously have you guys ever read how he gets caught.Rented aerostar to Louisiana to pick up van load of dope , then once busted he does it a second time no less.

The only time I like listening to mickey on one of those shows is when He and Broaddus gets into it.

I still have a old podcast from 2 years ago with Mickey and Broaddus going at it for about 15 minutes straight. It's so classic I just can't delete it. LOL

You can sometimes hear crossing his arms and digging in like a child and you can almost hear something snap in the Brain of Broaddus before he finally gives up. Comedy gold.

Yeah, It's the podcast after the Kyle Orton game when the team finished 8-8 for the 3rd straight year. Broaddus was going after Garrett hard for three straight 8-8 seasons and Mickey was protecting him and using the injury excuse like he always does. You didn't hear Rowan say anything for 15 minutes.

Talkin Cowboys is tough to listen to. It was better when that previous girl was on, even if her voice was somewhat loud at times. But she kept things fun. This new girl Lindsay is just... meh. Has no opinions and zero chemistry. Mickey does is usual thing, Nate is on and off, Rob is stuck with this lot, feel bad for him.

Cowboys Break is much better. Heck I'll listen to On Air (when Dave is on, rest are idiots) more than TC these days

BC mj is a harmless drug and committed a non violent crime? If you were ever going to forgive a prisoner who has done his time, he is an easy one to support.

No..I think the guys on the show were talking today about them two getting into it on one of the shows this week but I could have heard wrong.

I think when they do those round table type shows you will see them. I don't watch them. I get the feeling Bryan wants to say "please don't argue with me, I am giving you information that you are unable to gather on your own, not asking for your opinion "

I normally just stick with the draft show but will occasionally watch or listen to the others.

Yup. Very hard to listen to the show with both of them on there. And with Lindsey as well. They all view everything through rose-colored glasses and are always rushing to defend and support every decision made by this team.

He is paid by the Owner Jerruh and he represents the team view. If you want to hear bashing,
and agenda based reporting with little substance, there are tons of places you can visit. They
try to keep the fans informed but, it costs you nothing and you can just turn your computer off
if you don't like.

He is paid by the Owner Jerruh and he represents the team view. If you want to hear bashing,
and agenda based reporting with little substance, there are tons of places you can visit. They
try to keep the fans informed but, it costs you nothing and you can just turn your computer off
if you don't like.

You lost me here. I think your last sentence is trying to tell me that I should turn off my computer and know listen to the show if I don't like it. Well, guess what? I don't like the show and I stopped listening. Just pointing out what I observed when I did listen.

Also, as I said in my second post in this thread, there's a huge difference between acknowledging and accepting a decision versus vehemently supporting and defending one -- which is what we see from Mickey and crew.

Nate is from rural Florida raised in the early 70s onwards. He is literally from a world that hardly exists as it used to. He's not lit; that is how he is normally.

Could we raise some funds for him to get speech rehab? How terrible to go through life speaking the Queen's English that way!

I like Nate but I can't stand it when people repeatedly say " I always tell people".

+1.... not sure if it's simply conversation filler that he spits out while formulating his thoughts, or if it's to be taken at face value. I'm leaning towards the former, but still... probably more annoying than the "you know"s that make up 70% of the vocabulary of some folks.

What would you expect. Mickey is paid to represent the Owner and the team's interests. Would you not follow the company line if your boss had control over
your paycheck and employment. Duh!!!

Mickey is much higher in the hierarchy than Broaddus. Mickey was also responsible for taking Nate Newton on his show and Broaddus moving to the other one.
Broaddus is just a commentator and purveyor of all things draft while, Mickey is the defacto voice of the Cowboys organization.

I'd probably hate these shows, too, if I believed half of what some of y'all believe about the organization. They don't make many bones about their impatience with some of our favorite topics.

Actually, Derek Eagleton is in charge and he sets the shows lineups. I would like them to mix it up some though, the Break is easily the best, they should switch Nate Newton and Nick Eatman, making Talking Cowboys a better show without harming the Break. The Draft show is great, and On Air is awful. Josh Elliott is the worst host of any of the shows. That show is only decent when he is not on there, and even better when they have a guest player on.
