Mystery DL the Cowboys supposedly really like?

They really don't have "plenty" of upside. The odds are heavily stacked against them ever even being a primary backup for a team.

Not far off odds of a first rd qb pick hitting really.

There are different kind of developmental guys. You don't take a guy who is at least 2-3 years away from sniffing NFL ability just because you have a starter. If you're going to pull the trigger, you take the most polished guy you can get and he's better off for being able to watch and learn.

Prescott is a football player with good athletic ability. He is never going to be an NFL passer. He may one day be a back-up, but that's about where his potential stops. I guess what I am saying is, there are far better and more feasible developmental guys in this draft, even in the middle rounds, than Prescott.

That's an assumption that Dak is only a backup. Very possible he becomes a decent starter. ....Dilfer and Brad Johnson won superbowls. Again not saying draft Dak just saying if the scouts say he can develop into solid starter and is great value in the 4th take him. Look at Cousins, seen many people say the same thing about him

Not really. 66% completion percentage in SEC, good feet, strong enough arm, proven winner.

good feet??/ are we watching the same QB? his footwork on throws where he is even slightly pressured is terrible.

Of course it's an assumption. Everything about these kids is an assumption at this point. An educated assumption, yes, but an assumption nonetheless. When I watch Prescott he looks lost half the time, even when he's doing things right. He has no feel for the pocket other than when he is taking off and running either. He took a ton of sacks this year he could have sidestepped and avoided because he was dead set on showing he could be a good passer--which he still failed at.

These are all our opinions obviously. I politely disagree with yours.

Whoever it is, I'd bet they're versatile enough to play DE and Dt

To me, pocket awareness is far more important in the NFL than mobility. Prescott has great mobility but atrocious pocket awareness. He took a lot of horrible sacks this year he could have simply side stepped or stepped up to avoid. His arm is also relatively weak for a guy with such an athletic build.

Does anyone know anything about Rodney Coe? I only see 2 sacks in college, the fact that he transferred from Iowa State for violating team rules, and that he has a lot of athleticism apparently but no numbers to support the theory.

I thought lynch made big strides in his footwork. Couldn't really judge his passes in the winds but thought he really worked on his footwork which is a good sign he listened to coaches

I have read the answer to this somewhere . I think they are trying I hide a DL from Akron or some other small school. The guy has unbelievable stats and his workout numbers shows that he is a physical monster at 300 lbs.

People were saying that his arms were too short for him to be drafted in the first round. Now I know he is special but players can get by with that height and arm length...particularly in Marinelli's defense

No, it is Justin Zimmer from a Ferris State. I think I got it right on the school. He has the highest RAS score of any DL in the last ten years. I know you can take a minute and have the full scoop on the guy. Compares to Ronald, but is bigger, faster and had 83 tackles last year with 13 sacks . Over 26 tackles behind the LOS.
