I think it's coming down to EE or Ramsey. If Ramsey is there, I think we take him. If it's down to Bosa or EE, then I think we go EE.

I think it's silly for anyone to designate certain positions as "nondraftable" early in the draft (with the exception of kickers). If you feel a RB is one of the best players, you take him.

All that being said, I think I'm leaning to Bosa. I think there are too many folks selling him short. But I wouldn't be upset with Ramsey or Elliot.

any team which takes a RB in the top 5 should have its entire FO removed from operation immediately,it is absolutely dumb that we would even consider it.

it is not dumb
it is however dogmatic thinking to believe in formulaic philosphy

There's been as many rumors about Elliott for us as Goff for the Rams. Probably more honestly. Starting to see a whole lot of smoke here. Much more than I like to see.

Considering we don't really need to fool anybody much. If the QBs are gone, we'll either have a shot at Tunsil, a trade, or our highest ranked defensive player in the whole draft. Or, of course, a RB we can get very similar production from with our third round pick.

So many people here would be elated with Elliott at 4, but I honestly would not be able to come up with a pick I've hated worse at the time the pick was made. I would be furious and anything less than 2k yards from scrimmage per year if hes one contract only or 1600-1800 per year and AP like longevity would make that pick an absolute failure in my eyes.

id feel the same way, the whole point on getting a great OL is to make average or good RBs better. EE maybe be a great back but will he be significantly better than a 3 or 4th rd RB?

You don't side with the coaches here. It's equivalent to asking scouts what do on 3rd and long.

Garrett wants the RB because he's worried about next year. He's not likely to be here when the RB wears down.

Thats the dumbest thing. Let's ask the offensive coaches that are on the hot seat who they want. Oh a RB and WR early? You don't say.

He'd be fun to watch. But it'd be the worst possible use of the number four pick. I'd much rather reach for Lynch at four.

Interesting point, I don't see it that way but that reasoning is why Fisher just mortgaged the farm for the #1 pick.

*IF* that is true, it's probably because they're honestly convinced Marinelli can just reproduce the 2014 amount of turnovers, with some extra benefits with Dlaw/Crawford maturing, Thornton in the middle and Jones in the secondary.

Me? I'd like to see real talent added on defense. Give Rob some actual chicken salad to work with. A top 10 defense and Romo will have us in serious contention every single year he has left.

I agree you don't side with the coaches. But then I don't buy there's necessarily a rift between scouts and coaches anyway. I don't think Garrett's probably singing for his supper, and I think we'll end up taking defense or trading back a few spots for some extra picks.

Said it in another thread. Zeke is a coach's dream. He would read defenses and tell the OSU staff what he was seeing. He would carryout every assignment well. Any coach is going to love that.

It is sounding like Polian knew what he was taking about when he said the Cowboys will draft EE and will not look back if they do not trade down.

What would be a success for a DL at 4? Would anything less than 20 sacks a season be a failure?

And a CB better have a whole mess of Interceptions, with at least a couple of those being pick 6's.......or just simply be so dominant he doesnt get his side of the field thrown to......
