Browns trade Eagles #2 overall pick

The reasoning is because Tunsil has always played LT and isn't strong run blocker. Smith had never played LT before being drafted...he was a career RT for USC and is a great run blocker. That's what I think would happen, but again, I don't think there's a chance in hell we draft Tunsil no matter what happens.

But Smith is also a Top 3 LT in the NFL. You don't move a Top 3 LT to RT to accommodate a rookie. That would be beyond strange.

Yeah, sure you would be interested in trading up.......................... you just better hope Jax isn't open to trading the 5th pick. Teams don't need to trade with us if Jax is open to moving. We likely aren't a threat to take Tunsil.

I agree that you may not get the value you might have there but you are still in the drivers seat. Plus, Jax needs DL help and LB help. Would they pass on Bosa or Jack?

Same for the new QB they just traded up for. No O-line talent a severely lacking at the WR position. Not to mention that their RB corp is nothing to write home about, either. Solid but certainly not something a rookie QB can lean on with that O-line.

You can always build around a QB.

Which is why you don't draft Tunsil is more locked into the LT position....you don't take a RT at #4, probably not even in round 1

Well, if we drafted Tunsil, that too would be beyond strange but if you are living in Bizarro World......

You can always build around a QB.

You still need talent. If you watched the Packers last year, you would never believe Aaron Rodgers is the best the league has. Andrew Luck is supposed to be the future, he sure looked like a bust for the time he played last year. Tony Romo has trouble winning over 8 games with average talent. The Saints have been a below average team for awhile now without talent around him. So many talented QBs watched their careers go down the drain due to lack of talent.

I would think it'd have to be for Lynch, teams don't make moves up like this unless it's for a QB
Ummmm............. there have been tweets saying that teams likely won't jump to 4 for Tunsil because most know it's unlikely the Cowboys would take him anyway.

I think what might have once been a position of strength at 4 is no longer that. We kind of are pigeon holed at this point.

That's bad logic. Even though the Boys wouldn't take them, they'd still trade for that spot because there is a risk that someone else would trade for that spot.

Do teams not learn from the RG3 trade? You don't risk your future this much on an unknown QB. This isn't Andrew Luck or a few others who were sure things. All of these guys are unknowns for the most part. They aren't even on Mariotta or Winston's level.

But as long as it isn't us making these idiotic moves.

Also, didn't the Eagles put quite a bit of money into Bradford and Chase? Haha.

What is there to learn? They took a chance and it didn't pan out.

And, by the way, Washington has won two NFC East titles since they drafted RGIII. The Cowboys have won one.

The real question is whether Cowboys brass has learned anything from the Post Aikman years.

But if that QB doesn't bust out and Romo is done in 2-3 years, we just cemented ourselves to getting our brains beat in by the Eagles while we scuffle around for a QB like we did in the early 2000s.

cemented eh? I guess Wentz is a can't miss AA superstar.

It's far more likely we draft Tunsil than Elliot...another player that needs to be dropped from the discussion unless we trade back. Did we suddenly forget how our front office thinks about RB value?

With all the probowlers we have on our line, still didn't help Romo. We will NOT draft Tunsil.

from Super Bowl week is pretty interesting now: Paxton Lynch, Dee Haslam, Hue Jackson and Leigh Steinberg.

The #Browns had a predraft visit with #Memphis QB Paxton Lynch on March 28. With pick No. 8, he'll be under consideration there.

If you want Paxton Lynch....cowboys can't trade down IMO.

Yeah, but you need a QB first and foremost. Why waste all the effort building a solid team from top to bottom if you don't have a competent QB? All that work would be for nothing. Until you have solid QB play, the rest is just spinning your wheels.

We are not going to avoid drafting Tunsil because Romo broke his collarbone. Your reasoning is trash. We will most likely pass on Tunsil because we like another prospect more, but not because of your reason.

With the QBs off the board Elliott becomes a real possibility especially with Bosa having a history with pot.

There are rumors that Elliott also has himself a little drug/party addiction.

We'll pass on Tunsil because we have the best OL in football and must use that pick on a NEED.
