La Canfora and Miller hear Rankins possible at 4

Every agent is out in full force suggesting to these writers crap that they hope will increase talk and interest of their players.

All this tells me is that a trade back to 8 or 9 makes the most sense. Why?

There is gonna be a player we like there: Elliott, Bosa, Buckner or Rankins. One or more of them will be there at 8 or 9. Trade 4 to a team that loves Tunsil or Ramsey and pick up a second rounder.

Then use that extra second rounder to move up and pick Lynch. Boom. Draft solved. You're welcome, Jerry.

There's so much smoke on this smokescreen, the NFL has preemptively suspended Rankins.

Seriously, at this point our board is set. Rankins can't be in the mix at 4 unless we take too long to turn in our pick and Jacksonville hops up to take our slot.

I know trading the pick makes sense. But there's more to trading than simply saying, "we want to trade out". You have to have a player that people really want. You have to get suitable compensation for the pick.

I understand most on here know this. But later on, if we make a pick someone doesn't like, they will complain that we should've traded out.....not knowing if we really had the opportunity to or not.

If you want clicks, mention the Cowboys. If they traded down, then Rankins could be in the conversation, but so would Treadwell.

"POOF"! he becomes a top 5 player 24 hours before the draft. Like magic.

I think Rankins (maybe Lawson too) would be a prime target in the 8-13 range if Dallas traded down.
They aren't taking him at 4 though.

Never trust LaConfora on anything.

The dude has on Orioles underwear and a Ravens jersey on 24/7.

Trade down for Zeke..
Trade down for Lynch..
Trade down for Rankins..

Only the Cowboys could wind up with the 4th pick in a year where no one actually seems to be worth it.

It's a little too high but I rather Rankins over Ramsey and Bosa.

But I would have an issue if Dallas selects Rankins instead of Tunsil (if he falls to the fourth pick).

Same here
I would not want any of them at 4 though

Nobody really wants to trade up though. Would you take a 5th rounder to go to 10? That might be all that's offered.

Rankins is a great pick if we can move back.

Yup, if we can get someone to go crazy and trade up to four for some pet player, I'm down with Rankins. Great value if we could get him around the middle of the first round -- but we had BETTER get major compensation for moving from #4 to #15 or so, especially since that means we'll be losing out on one...Ezekiel Elliot.
