We have taken a DE in the 2nd round 2 straight years correct?

Yeah and both got hurt their rookie years and both are potential long term drug suspension risks.

Are you really trying to argue that it would be wiser to take Shepard, for example, at 34 as opposed to someone like Dodd or Bullard or Butler?

Lawson to the Bills.

Now let's see if the Jets will take Paxton.

I wouldn't mind trading back in to take Jack.

He was my #1 prospect in the draft.....But the knee stories.:omg: Makes you wonder....

And their goes my pass rusher.....:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Really thought Lawson could have been the guy that replaced Hardy.....

Not nearly as much as LA/PHI from 4 ;) Comes with the territory, you either are willing to give up some picks or you go into another season hoping your aging and injury prone QB will take us to the promise land. At least w/those choices (Goff/Wentz) and Romo starting when healthy, we have a great outlook regarding the future. QBs run the league, not RBs. Elliott now has to be AP to justify the pick (nearly a decade of production; almost unheard of among RBs).

Good QBs run the league. Weak QBs drag teams down. Don't use high picks or draft capital like trading back into round one unless you are damn confident a guy is a stud. Otherwise, draft one each year or two for development, and quit on him when he doesn't progress.

Check my mock, I had us taking DE in the 2nd. I don't get why you think that I think we are doing anything but that.
