Why not implement a package for Dak?

Why can't this team take a player like Dak and just use him right away for things that he's good for?

Put a short yardage package and maybe even goal line package together that he can thrive in...zone reads w this line and with zeke blocking or even rushing...that would be using the players talents to their abilities

Cam in short yardage situations has like a 100% success rate..I bet Dak could do the same..

I don't even like Dak as a future qb prospect...but this guy definitely can bring something to the table...it's a bit depressing to know that none of this will happen...seems like such an easy and successful plan...yet for some dumb reason, it's also never going to happen

Maybe because they haven't had the right players yet. With Whitehead last year they tried a few things different. But used it a bit much, but there was no threats on the field without Romo or Dez. So it worked at times, but could work better when all are healthy.
Now they have more options. Romo, Dez, Zeke, Lucky and Dak possibly.

I think there is a small conundrum because we want convert him to our offense style. At the same time, if Romo went down for just a couple of games, we could play to his strengths and run an offense that defenses could not prepare for. I don't expect him to be the back up this year, but at some point we have take advantage of his strengths while trying to develop him. He may share some of Romo's qualities but we can't pretend he is another Romo.

I do understand what you are saying...need more imagination more so than what they do try at times.

You don't take any of them off the field, just add another player that can make a play. TWill or beasley would come off the field.

You don't have to be fast to be successful on 3rd and 1...nobody is talking about running away from defenders here

doesn't have to be a run, nor does he need to run 80 yards if it is. Just needs to run for a 1st down, or more.
Could be a pass if it's there.
